Proposed deletion of Adelindis von Buchau

Sorbs of the early Middle Ages

I'm bringing this discussion here on behalf of User:Боки in order to solicit additional input. Боки wishes to write an article on Sorbs of the early Middle Ages. My feeling is that this topic is already covered by the article Sorbs (tribe), which has sections for the 7th through 10th centuries, therefore a new article with the new title ought not to be attempted, as it might be seen as a WP:POVFORK and end up deleted or merged with the existing article. Further feedback on this point would be welcome.

Боки, welcome to WP:WikiProject Middle Ages, which is an informal task force or group of volunteer editors who are interested in the goal of improving coverage of the Middle Ages at English Wikipedia. Following up on the discussion you started at my Talk page, the folks here are likely to be better informed than I am about medieval topics, and could advise you better than I can. Just to get the ball rolling: regarding your new article idea, what type of content do you envision a new article Sorbs of the early Middle Ages would contain? Whatever it is, could it not simply be added to current article, Sorbs (tribe), or do you think the two topics are different? Another approach, might be to do a Requested move of Sorbs (tribe) to "Sorbs of the early Middle Ages", if that would be a better name for the article. On the other hand, if both titles represent the same topic, then one title should WP:REDIRECT to the other. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 23:15, 23 July 2023 (UTC)

Additional info: I believe that the Serbian Wikipedia article sr:Лужички Срби у раном средњем веку (135kb, 62 refs) may have spurred Боки's OP at my talk page. Here is a link to that article in automatic translation into English, with the translated title, "Lusatian Serbs in the Early Middle Ages". The Serbian article's section organization is thematic, rather than purely chronological, as at Sorbs (tribe), and I think I like the thematic approach better. I can imagine a re-org or rewrite of Sorbs (tribe) more along the thematic approach as being an improvement, so I could support that idea. Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

I have taken the long overdue step of creating an Al-Aqsa Mosque compound page to encompass the full architectural history of Al-Aqsa all in one place. This was not done previously, with there being separate articles for the Dome of the Rock, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Minarets of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, etc., but no single page drawing them all together historically and architecturally. The temple mount page provides some architectural overview, but it is so bound up in narrating the full history of the site and is substructure (so much so that it uses the 'mountain' infobox template, not the 'religious building' one) that it has never done full credit to the actual superstructure.
