Auto-assessment of article classes

Following a recent discussion at WP:VPR, there is consensus for an opt-in bot task that automatically assesses the class of articles based on classes listed for other project templates on the same page. In other words, if WikiProject A has evaluated an article to be C-class and WikiProject B hasn't evaluated the article at all, such a bot task would automatically evaluate the article as C-class for WikiProject B.

Looking for feedback on a tool on Visual Editor to add open license text from other sources

Hi all

I'm designing a tool for Visual Editor to make it easy for people to add open license text from other sources, there are a huge number of open license sources compatible with Wikipedia including around 9000 journals. I can see a very large opportunity to easily create a high volume of good quality articles quickly. I have done a small project with open license text from UNESCO as a proof of concept, any thoughts, feedback or endorsements (on the Meta page) would be greatly appreciated.

Mediaeval

Is there a reason we're not, per MOS:TIES, using the British spelling mediaeval at articles like Medieval Welsh literature, despite them proclaiming with templates that they are written in British English? I was tempted to lodge some WP:RMs, but it occurs to me that this has probably been discussed before, and I might be missing something (e.g., maybe even MHRA, etc., have come to an academic consensus to use the shorter spelling?). Thought I should ask about it first. Most of the British-published works I've read on the era used the ae spelling (though the æ ligature version is obsolete). Mediaeval is falling out of use in the specialist literature from British presses. Has for a while. See such titles as A Companion to Medieval England 1066–1485, Cambridge Studies in Medieval Life and Thought: 4th Series, The Two Cities: Medieval Europe, Cambridge Medieval Textbooks, A Dictionary of Medieval Terms and Phrases, The Foundations of Medieval English Ecclesiastical History, Peasants and Landlords in Later Medieval England, Religion in the Medieval West, The Medieval Warhorse, Revised Medieval Latin Word-List from British and Irish Sources, Medieval Folklore, A Dictionary of Medieval Terms for the use of History Students, Medieval Warfare Source Book. The only two British/UK published works on my bibliography that have Mediaeval are both from the 1960s - Governance of Mediaeval England from the Conquest to Magna Carta (1963) and An Introduction to the Adminstrative History of Mediaeval England (1966). Mediaeval hasn't been used in serious scholarship since the 1930s. Except for tourists who think it's more 'realistic.' Since we go by sources, and the preferred sources are recent (all things being equal) we ignore what the fashionistas say. _Muffled ^Pocketed 18:29, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
