I just put this article up. If any natives and/or Arkansas history buffs want to make improvements, go to it. I didn't go into great detail on the internal Republican party struggles he was involved in. Brianyoumans (talk) 23:57, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, it seems like after Harmon Remmel's death the Remmel family continued to control the Arkansas Republican party, right up to the early 1960s. There doesn't seem to be much written about this, however. There's a little on Pratt Remmel, mayor of Little Rock in the early 1950s, but otherwise nothing. It might be a good thesis project for somebody. Brianyoumans (talk) 23:22, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is this subject notable or should I merge it to the school that hosts it? Seems significant to me. FloridaArmy (talk) 15:21, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Pollard" and citogenesis[edit]

When the article on the late Governor Simon P. Hughes was first created in 2003, the very first diff said that his middle name had been "Pollard". It was recently tagged as 'citation needed'. So far, I haven't found any sources to support "Pollard" which were published earlier than 2003. (Are the sources I've found examples of citogenesis? They could be, and that's enough to be a concern.)

So I figured I'd bring this to the attention of people who might have better access to Deep Historical Sources on Arkansas, such as the ones cited here. DS (talk) 17:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
