While it is of a slightly higher resolution than the version currently used in the article, there does appear to be higher resolution versions of the same icon elsewhere on the Internet. Since this particular image linked to is the resolution that was uploaded, the only thing that might need to happen would be a reduction in resolution.
Since the icon for the game was created by Nintendo, including both the original version and this updated version, this isn't an image that can be recreated in a manner that would be considered "free content".

The reason for the upload is to replace a non-scalable bitname image with a scalable vector graphics image.

File upload request declined. The purpose for using SVG over PNG is that SVGs scale better and at higher quality, as per WP:USOP. The SVG you have provided is significantly lower quality than the existing PNG. No additional reason has been given, meaning there is no reason for this file to be uploaded. --Ultraodan (talk) 07:58, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Description: This is the logo for Infobox. Further details: The logo for Thorpe Park
Article to be used on/reason for upload: To be used on Thorpe Park's article. The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Infobox, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.

Description:This is the official logo of Edwards Vacuum, part of the Atlas Copco Group
The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.
The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Edwards_Vacuum, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.
Because it is a non-free logo, there is almost certainly no free representation. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would fail to convey the meaning intended, would tarnish or misrepresent its image, or would fail its purpose of identification or commentary.
Article to be used on/reason for upload: The official logo of Edwards Vacuum to be used on this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwards_Vacuum. Internally approved by the Atlas Copco Group in a non-free use rationale.
We have been trying for the last 6 months to update our logo on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwards_Vacuum to the latest version. We hope to have supplied all the information necessary to replace the logo on the article. If anything is missing, please reach out. Thank you very much in advance. Comment: Per Wikipedia's free use guidelines, images should only be 100,000 pixels large. The current file, at 96,390 pixels is already approaching that limit, thus a larger resolution file would have to be shrunken down anyway. Closing, thanks. -- LemonSlushie ๐ (talk) (edits) 21:02, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

File upload request declined. The file is copyrighted and not free. The page you have linked does not appear to be promotional material or a press kit, and the only licensing I was able to find was 'All Rights Reserved' at the bottom of the page. Additionally, upon my interpretation of the first non free content rationale, this fails fair use as a free image could be created in the future. However, upon a quick Google search, there does not appear to any freely licensed files that could replace it at this time. In that case, I am declining this request but I am waiting to mark this discussion as closed for a week to allow for comments and review by the requestor, other users and reviewers. Thanks, -- LemonSlushie ๐ (talk) (edits) 03:14, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi LemonSlushie, thanks for taking the time to review this upload.I'm curious as to your interpretation of promotional material, being that the photo is from a webpage by the subject's talent agency to promote (or represent) the subject's past and current work and encourages viewers (or potential casting directors) to contact the agency for any queries. What would this be classified as?
Hmm, that does complicate things. Since I am unsure on what exactly this falls under, and since this is such a complex situation, I will make a post at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions to get a second opinion on whether or not fair use applies to this image. Thank you for your understandingย :) -- LemonSlushie ๐ (talk) (edits) 03:33, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
