Sun-hwa (name)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Sun-hwa (name) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Sun-hwa. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Rather than threatening to report people for "vandalism", please refer to WP:DEPROD: "If anyone, including the article creator, removes a {{proposed deletion}} tag from an article, do not replace it". You have proposed moving the page. That is orthogonal to deleting it. What are you trying to accomplish here? quant18 (talk) 09:23, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

No, removing a WP:PROD tag is not vandalism. Second, every user has the right to manage their own talk page. Per WP:BLANKING, do not restore warning templates that others have removed from their own talk pages. I already explained to you why this is not vandalism. And you still have not answered the question of why you are proposing a page for deletion at the same time as requesting it be moved. When you are this unclear on what you are trying to accomplish, it is natural that other people will misunderstand your intentions. quant18 (talk) 09:32, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Okay, do I understand you correctly?

1. You want the current contents of Sun-hwa (name) to appear at Sun-hwa
2. You want Sun-hwa (name) to be a WP:REDLINK, and not to redirect to Sun-hwa

My other question, what should we do about Sun Hwa? There is a difference between given name pages (a type of WP:SETINDEX) and WP:DISAMBIG pages, and not all the entries on Sun Hwa are appropriate for the given name page? Thanks, quant18 (talk) 09:44, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Since there is already an actual disambiguation page at Sun Hwa, isn't the easiest way to redirect Sun-hwa to Sun Hwa instead? quant18 (talk) 09:50, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
