Map: augment[edit]

Balto-Slavic and Germanic are not "languages with augment". They are languages in which the preterite of some verbs (BS) or of a single verb (G) have been argued (probably wrongly) to contain a fossilized augment. They do not and did not have a living augment as Old Indic, Old Iranian, Ancient Greek and Ancient Armenian had (and Modern Greek still has). --Virda (talk) 19:59, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
