Bulgarians in Turkey

Hi TheTruthonly, I recently put the article Bulgarians in Turkey as a proposed deletion... so that the contributers could change the article by only talking about Bulgarians. They do not seem to have done what I have asked. Please read the discussion page and help resolve this problem. Thank you! Turco85 (talk) 22:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

This should be taken to an AfD as suggested. Thanks for letting me know about this Thetruthonly (talk) 17:51, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Tarkan dudu.ogg}

Thank you for uploading File:Tarkan dudu.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Turks

The only ref you can halfway decentrly claim is unreliable was from About.com and I see you have removed that. Fair enough I am happy to lose that. It still says the same thing as all the others I included.
There is no turkish "race", you seem to entertain racist fixations. Turks are the citizens of turkey, that's all.
The comment about the Christians is true, the genocidal gang of the Young Turks and that wino thug Kemal finished them off. I suppose it should have been labelled a legacy of the Turkish republic rather than the OE but that's about it.
The sources provide references to the use of the S&C in ME coins, Greek coins and by the City. They further attribute its use by turks as a borrowing from the Greeks. I have not removed any academic reference, turkish or otherwise. I did remove a dead link pointing to a newspaper article if that's what you are trying to refer to.--Xenovatis (talk) 14:23, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Your tactic of lying that the sources do not contain the relevant information is easily unmasked and ridiculed.

  • Islam FAQ. [S.l.], p68

It was the symbol of the Sassanids of Persia (iran) for about 450 years

It was borrowed from Christian Constantinople by the conquering Ottomans.

the crescent moon and star which was later adopted by the modern turkish state.

Turks in Greece

I think that we should create a new article called Turks in Greece to show the whole population living in Greece because Turks in Western Thrace would not include every Turks in Greece e.g. the Turkish immigrants etc and it would also allow us to include the history of the Turkish presence in the country and also the subject of the Cretan Turks as well. Turco85 (talk) 01:46, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Certainly it seems to be a level-headed suggestion. Unfortunately I will not be contributing to Wikipedia as much as I used to until the Easter holidays as I am exceptionally hectic with university at the moment. I recommend you to do your homework on the subject prior to creating the page- make sure the article is kept neutral in order to sway away from any edit-wars etc and back-up all information with consistent, trustworthy sources. Of course I will be happy to help- I will let you lead for now. Good luck! Thetruthonly (talk) 20:42, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Good

I will be very glad if you report this dispute to admins. Please be kind and do it now. Ellipi (talk) 22:15, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

It is clear that Turkmens of Iraq are actually neither Turks nor Turkmens, but Azerbaijanis. But They've been historically called Turkmens, and that's why they have been mentioned in that certain source. Moreover, this dispute about tiny minorities of Tukmens in Syria and Iraq needs more attention by admins, for the exaggerated numbers should be removed from the templates, and must only be discussed in the article under Demographics/population section and just as oponion of some Iraqi Turkmens. AfD nomination of Murad Gümen

I have nominated Murad Gümen, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murad Gümen. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. - Philippe 22:20, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
