Deletion of Nate conrad

An article you created, Nate conrad, has been speedily deleted because it did not assert the notability of the subject in a meaningful way. You stated on the talk page that not much has been published about him but that you personally vouched for his notability. Unfortunately that's not enough; see our notability guidelines and specifically guidelines for biographies. You can re-create an article on the same subject provided that you include citations to reliable sources supporting assertions of his notability. (But honestly this does not look like a case where the subject really is notable.)

Anyway, since no one has dropped by yet, I should also say welcome to Wikipedia, and don't feel bad that your first article was deleted - it happens a lot. Opabinia regalis 05:12, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

As an addendum, please do not repeatedly re-post deleted material. Creating new material on the same subject that conforms to our content policies is encouraged; reposting the same material that has already been removed is not appropriate. Thanks. Opabinia regalis 05:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I apologize, I didn't see the additional link in the second post. So that other people don't come across and delete/mis-tag/etc your work-in-progress, one method a lot of people use is to work on the article as a user subpage which they move into article-space when they're finished. For example, you could work on the text at User:Peterdobey/Nate Conrad and make as many changes as you want. When you're done working, you can use the "move" tab at the top of the page to move it to Nate Conrad, which will create the actual article.

Also so you know, category listings do appear in the preview, but in the usual place at the bottom of the page, so they're underneath the edit window and associated text. There are certain bits of formatting that don't show up on preview or look different in the preview and final versions. Opabinia regalis 06:40, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Nate Conrad before his red paint piece.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
