Nomination of Michael Connolly (rugby player) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Michael Connolly (rugby player) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

I am not restoring this article, even as a draft for editing, for two reasons:

I do not think he meets Wikipedia's WP:Notability test for inclusion as a rugby player. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Rugby union/Notability.
Even if he does, the whole tone of what you wrote was completely unsuitable for a serious encyclopedia. Read WP:Biographies of living persons which includes:

"Contentious material about living persons... that is unsourced or poorly sourced – whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable – should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion."
