July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Daniel Clark (actor) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bmyspace\.com (links: http://www.myspace.com/bclucky).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:38, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Daniel Clark (actor). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Categories must be supported by article content and that content needs references in bio articles NrDg 19:04, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to List of Malcolm in the Middle characters. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Alansohn (talk) 14:42, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of Brian Kubach[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brian Kubach requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Zack Bennett[edit]

The article Zack Bennett has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable: most significant role was in an non-notble production. No independent sources, only source is site for non-notable web series.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SummerPhD (talk) 17:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back[edit]

Alright. GreenBayPackersfan09 (talk) 19:26, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In case this is deleted before you get to read it:

It is different.[edit]

It seems the other time it was created he didn't have any sources and it didn't look like he had any notable roles. But when I created it, it is better and the article is now well sourced, and has sources for the films he stars. Per Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Entertainers Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television, stage performances, or other productions. He apparently starred in a 2007 film named Fanboy. [1] And he appeared in 3 episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place, a notable television series, which he had a recurring role, which I think makes him notable. Plus he appeared in other films and tv shows, and has notable roles in Stamped!, Cheerleader Massacre 2, and had a supporting role in Fuel. [2] And, the article has sources to back it up. I think this time notability has been asserted. GreenBayPackersfan09 (talk) 19:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let's look at those sources:

  1. Flixter is a mirror of this page. So we're using this article as a source for itself. Certainly NOT a reliable source.
  2. homepage.mac.com the homepage for the non-notable film lists its cast. Certainly not a sign of notability.
  3. Wizards of Waverly Place Wiki. A wiki = NOT a reliable source.
  4. IMDb. Not a reliable source, as you've been told numerous times (under various names).

Now, those "notable" roles:

  1. Fanboy is not a notable production. Nothing associated with it is notable as a result of being associated with it.
  2. Wizards of Waverly Place was discussed in the AfD.
  3. "Other films and TV shows". Stamped!, Cheerleader Massacre 2 and Fuel are also not notable productions. If he stars in 20,000 non-notable productions, it does nothing for notability.

All of this was addressed. If this goes to a new AfD, you will need something new. - SummerPhD (talk) 20:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Even though IMDB is unreliable, according to his official facebook page, [3], his IMDB page is his website, which would make it reliable. (I think) GreenBayPackersfan09 (talk) 20:41, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you can establish that the facebook page actually is his, you would be able to demonstrate that he linked to IMDb, not that he considered it authoritative. IMDb can change any of the info on "his" website at any time. It is not "his" page. (If it were his page, it wouldn't be an "independent reliable source" anyway).
There are zero independent reliable sources here. This was, and still is, reason for deletion.
None of his roles are significant roles in notable productions. This was, and still is, reason for deletion.
SummerPhD (talk) 20:48, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the administrator who just deleted the article; I agree with User:SummerPhD's comments above that there doesn't seem to be any difference between what I saw and what was deleted earlier this month. My recommendation would be if you truly feel there is a case here for inclusion, you should take the article to WP:Deletion review. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:29, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Dan Benson, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 20:30, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know that you, under your various names, love to give birth info for fictional characters, like Laurie Forman. "Kitty was impregnated with Laurie in October 1957, which would make her birthyear sometime in 1958." is not a source, it is an explanation for why you believe it to be true. First, it assumes the Oct. 1957 date, which is unsourced, then it reads into that date to extrapolate a birth date, which is synthesis. Until such time as I get around to having you blocked as yet another sock puppet, I will continue to revert this unsourced change. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:01, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello GreenBayPackersfan09! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 9 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 939 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Matthew Timmons listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Matthew Timmons. Since you had some involvement with the Matthew Timmons redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). AussieLegend (talk) 14:05, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Diego Klattenhoff has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ENT (no obviously significant roles or cult following) and WP:GNG (no indication of significant coverage in independent reliable sources).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
