I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Developmental assistance, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I guess it was too hard. You haven't touched it in months. Oh well.

Context please[edit]

Hi, When you create an article like Panah Khan, please give a bit more context for those who don't know the subject matter as well as you do: "a commander of Ahmed Shah Massoud's Jamiat-e Islami" could be in any century, any country. Remember that someone may find the article by hitting "Random article" button, so that you need to put the topic into context. Also, if you include the "http://" at the start of any web address it becomes linkable in the article, and if you use the standard formatting methods you produce a more elegant reference - you can see the way I've fixed it in that article. It all makes Wikipedia better. Thanks. PamD (talk) 13:19, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for improving and de-duplicating the article! PamD (talk) 18:46, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Afghanistan[edit]

Just a quick note to say thanks for all your great work on adding and improving articles about Afghanistan. You've added a lot of excellent material in a very short period of time. Thanks! --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 11:48, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember to Categorise your new articles[edit]

Greetings, thanks for all the new Afghan article, but please remember to add a category (at least one, and as specific as possible) to each new article. Otherwise the article drops to WP:UNCAT and isn't tied in with all the other Afghan subjects. MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:08, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:23, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Grant Bud[edit]

Edge? That Grant Bud?

Anyways, the list of articles requires/d manual input, though you can get help with it from here, which lists

Unfortunately I try to steer away from the "clusterf*ck" articles like "War in Afghanistan" because there are just too many people with sensitive toes; you'd do best to use the talk page to get that done - though seeing your interest in the 1990s war I'd be more than happy to help on that front. (Sadly, it's much easier to work on the Soviet invasion because people don't have the same vested interest in showing their own POV, and removing anything that shows the other side is also human...both sides do that) Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 12:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Images in your User Space[edit]

Hey there Grant bud, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some images that I found on User:Grant bud/War in Afghanistan (2001-2006). In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page. See a log of images removed today here, shutoff the bot here and report errors here. Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 04:50, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. User:Grant bud/War in Afghanistan (2001-2006), a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Grant bud/War in Afghanistan (2001-2006) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Grant bud/War in Afghanistan (2001-2006) during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:06, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Habiburahman Parandi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I could only find one source for this article, the Casting Shadows report. Need two to establish notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiProject Afghanistan[edit]

Hello Grant bud, your name has been removed from the less active members list at WikiProject Afghanistan/Members and moved to the former section of the members list. This is because you have not edited for over a year. If you become active again, feel free to move your name back to the active members lists. Cheers, —Danre98(talk^contribs) 14:45, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
