First person writing[edit]

Wikipedia never uses the first person in its articles. Phrases such as "we strive to extend and enhance the reputation of WVU as a major research institution by publishing the very best work in our areas of specialization" are unabashedly promotional and give the impression that the subject of the article (in this case, WVU Press) seeks to take ownership of the article. Please avoid writing in this manner at Wikipedia. Also, since you appear to be connected to WVU Press, please review Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
