1940s horror films[edit]

Hello! Thanks for your concern about the list of 1940s horror films. There was a user who was adding films incessantly regardless whether they were horror or note a while back (check the history, his name was Zombie433 or something.) He's been banned recently and I've been trying to clean up the list as it's full of noirs and thrillers. I've been trying to add cited sources for correct films. I'll get back to going on that project. Thanks!Andrzejbanas (talk) 02:43, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will take a stab at cleaning up that list. I did a quick inventory of my DVD collection from those eras and I have some ADDS for the 40s and the 30's lists which will truly qualify. Can you tell me what you are considering for sources to verify whether a film is Horror or not? wouldn't a link to its own WP site or IMDB suffice? Hi, I generally use Allmovie as it cites the country, directors and actors as well. I double check with other things as occasionally I think allmovie has some years incorrect. Otherwise, books (through google books) work best for me! Andrzejbanas (talk) 02:40, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's where we differ, IMDB may have its faults, but Allmovie has inaccurate data that makes me see red and from what I can see no way to offer corrections. EraserGirl(talk) 02:43, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

re: unmissing[edit]

Weclome back and good luck with the re-write. Lugnuts (talk) 07:48, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thanks. it may be tricky. at 99 she wrote a tell all book about events that happened when she was in her 20s, either she has the most amazing memory or she filled in the blanks like a good screenwriter. the problem is that EVERYONE now references her book when reporting racy hollywood gossip. so if she misremembered...then many many books are giving life to pleasant fictions. Yes, my memory isn't the best either! Often involves something I've been asked to do at work, usually in a meeting I requested in the first place... Ha! I just noticed the "curmudgeon" userbox on your user page. I used that very word in an email only last week (in reference to myself, too). Lugnuts (talk) 11:43, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
