Bokelji[edit]

More than two thirds of the article are dirt. Either Serbian nationalist or other POV and there is AFAIC nothing much that's not at either Croats in Boka kotorska or Boka kotorska articles. There's really no need. I am going to include what little is worth saving, I can promise you that. --PaxEquilibrium 15:38, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppetry[edit]

Well, know that you have openly admitted many of your socks, why don't you write down all of them? :)

Come on, you wrote that those are all of your socks, when both you and I know that there're more. When you already decided to write them all down - do it. It might help you restore some of the prestige you had before the incidents. --PaxEquilibrium 21:37, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hm? That's weird. I recall you admitted that you're yourself as several other users too. --PaxEquilibrium 12:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. I wasn't referring to Olaf, but nm. You haven't done anything wrong through sockpuppets (I think). My reactions are harsh because I have became a sock-buster, most notably for rooting out Hahahihihoho, Afrika paprika, Dardanv, Bormalagurski and numerous other sock-puppeteers. Cheers. --PaxEquilibrium 22:18, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, never mind. I got used to not revealing all cards at once. :) The easiest way to notice socks are their claims. For instance, if they have a particular claim (like Jagoda 1 and Evergreen Montenegro1 about Bosnians and Montenegrins being originally Croats) and write it in a particular manner, it is 99,99% certain that they're socks. --PaxEquilibrium 23:37, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Someone (Hadzija I think) told me that Olaf is you. I don't want to spread bad faith, but I instantly believed him (both of you Muslim/Bosniac; both strong supporters of Milo Djukanovic, his Socialists and independists) and you have other similarities. --PaxEquilibrium 23:44, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there's averagely the same number of Croats and Serbs in Australia (both a hundred thousand each). Although I think that Croats are slightly more numerous.
I suppose Ijekavica disappeared in Australia. --PaxEquilibrium 23:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:PinkMTop.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PinkMTop.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Gusle[edit]

Look at the article about gusle, I think there's a need for Montenegrin touch. It seems to me that someone puts together (at least on links) Montenegrin gusle and Serb gusle.

Suradnik & Milo Djukanovic and his crimes[edit]

Just to inform you, I don't think that the Montenegrin language will use "Suradnik" instead of "Saradnik". We've just had a discussion over it down at the Montenegrowiki Test Project.

I've just found out that some time ago that the Sanjak Bosniacs/Muslims were in remorse for the victims of Djukanovic's regime. Now I now that you pride yourself as of Albanian origin, rather than Slavic (of Sandzak), but I think you should care at least a bit, considering that you too are a Muslim. It's very shocking (to me and actually, it should be to you too) that you still devoutly support a Criminal that was your own enemy... --PaxEquilibrium 18:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Petar II Petrovic-Njegos[edit]

CrnaGora, what are you doing?

If you meant to make it more readable to foreigners - foreigners can't speak Serbian anyway. It's somewhat silly to combine Latin & Njegos's quotes as the two cannot be mixed. You get a lit'le bizarre thing. The quotes are took directly from his works, and its no such case after you transliterated them into Latin. Why did you do that?

Anyone who can't read Cyrillic, can't read Njegos anyway, so if you meant to make it more readable, you should've translated it to English.
May I revert your edit? --PaxEquilibrium 18:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There, o'er there![edit]

Pro-Serbian elements were the basic elements of Montenegro back in the times of Nikola. :)

Thus, the anthem was not refused because of that (there's no point there, it wouldn't make sense), but because the Ottomans opposed it. As you know Montenegro had just passed through a war against the Turks back then that exhausted it greatly. And that song called for another war... what would've happened if the Ottomans used it immediately as an excuse to violate the Russian treaty and attack Montenegro? Total destruction.

Besides, "There, o'er there!" was much popular and greatly exceeded "To our beautiful Montenegro" in popularity, as "There, o'er there!" was much more played (for example during Nikola's famous jubilee you couldn't here "To our beautiful Montenegro", but "There, o'er there!" rather). All this is probably because "There, o'er there!" was an song written by Nicholas himself, which is not the case with the other song. --PaxEquilibrium 15:28, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP Montenegro[edit]

Would you please create a new category, titled "Articles Needing Immediate Attention" and place it on the Project's page, because I think that would work better than project collaboration idea. I don't know how to create templates and such, so I reckoned you would know how to help. We'll add articles later, after the category is created. Cheers. Sideshow Bob 00:42, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you understood me quite well. My plan was to add another window/category/whatever you want to call it to the page of WikiProject Montenegro, where we would add Montenegro-related articles that need to be improved/rewritten/expanded immediately, so we can all cooperate more effectively. Portal/WikiProject[edit]

I removed the reality data because it does not belong there. It should be over at Portal:Montenegro... which brings me to the newest suggestion. I think there should be a MonteNews window; there we could put the data on Montenegro's state status referendum, on its independence, Milo Djukanovic's resignation, Zeljko Sturanovic's cancer, something about Sports perhaps, etc... What do you think of this? --PaxEquilibrium 12:26, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Russia#Barnstar. We must have a Montenegro Barnstar of National Merit (so that I can award it to you ;) --PaxEquilibrium 12:28, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I was just thinking of havin' the good ol' Montenegrin Coat-of-Arms as a Barnstar. :)
P.S. If the new Montenegrin constitution proclaims the Montenegrin language official (as proposed by certain circles from the government), I'll be the first one to change all the "Serbian" to "Montenegrin/Serbian". I am often a much too big fan of Wikipedia's policies & guidelines, so many times I endorse them rigorously (even when they themselves do not support that); I guess many Wikipedians see my wrong side through that. No, though I support better relations between them. --Crna Gora 03:32, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic just proclaimed honorary citizen of Podgorica.
Ties between Croatia and Montenegro are geting stronger and stronger day by day.
Vladimir Seks was in Montenegro and talked with Milo Dj. Milo assured him that the two Croat states will be much closer, and their independance will remain in paper.
Over in Zagreb they say DPS will bring a referendum quit soon to extinguish Montenegrin independence formin a state union with Croatia (so that the two Croat states will no longer be devided, not even on paper any mere). Although Seks said that Montenegro first has to severe its close ties with Serbia and stop usin Serbian language, before fulfiling the panCroatian dream.

It's a wonderful feeling that Croatianess is in power in Montenegro (to me). Do you shear my thot? --GreaterCroatia 21:23, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Montenegrin language alphabet[edit]

I see you regularly check Montenegrin language as well as contributing to it. Only last night, I reammended the language translation by putting Cyrillic before Latinic which you switched over some time ago. I took a liberty and I see you didn't interfere with it, so thank you for that. Saying that, I've thought about it a bit; perhaps I was wrong to give it Cyrillic as default given the direction this is all going. The situation is very complicated: at the moment, the language which we call Crnogorski is (for the time being), de facto Serbian of the ijekavian variant. Obviously there is some form of Montenegrin signature, as in tomorrow (sjutra); but if and when Montenegrin as its own language is fully functional, we see already that it will most likely follow the examples of Bosnian and Croatian, and replace external Serbianisms with local practices - the enuisng result will be a reshaped language. Also affected will be literary language, which is what I am talking about. Now, all the signs look like Montenegrin will be a Latinic language: but is it really that simple? Whataver Montenegrins have called their language, it has been their language regardless of name. Montenegro historically has stronger links to the Orthodox Church and the ubiquity of Latinic is a remnant of Communist times. The six new republics all seek to distance themselves from that so-called "dark" era, and reaffiliation with the church (possibly recognition of Crnogorska Pravoslavna) and free use of Cyrillic are two such phenomena. My point is, that there is bound to be some form of objection from certain quarters as to Latinic taking priority. And looking at Montenegrin Latinic as proposed, it would be folly to keep/reform Cyrillic since Latinic in non-Latinic literary languages only serves as an internationally required transliteration: start using it primarily and the non-Roman alphabet is practicly obsolete. And then there is a final issue: For the /dz/ sound, they will use "3", which is an alien character, like Icelandic "þ". Not being a legally recognised Roman character, it is transliterated "th" and Montenegrin "3" will have to do the same thing, so it won't even be a transliteration, it will be original, and including 30 letters of Roman descent. Anyhow, the question is: what do we do about Montenegrin now? If of course, Latinic is to be the script, then we can by all means put it first, and we won't even need to use the term "latinic" because it will be its default script. But if we are referring to a language which is technicly Serbian using a different name, then maybe Cyrillic should stay first. What do you personally think? Evlekis 22:16, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you choose to ignore discussions for solutions, then you have no right to revert pages concerned. It is one form of vandalism. Serbs also use Latinic far more than Cyrillic but what people do privately and what is prefered are two different subjects. Evlekis 20:37, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Montenegro and Kosovo[edit]

No, the Montenegrin government supported independence of Kosovo while Milo Djukanovic was in power and while there was a separatist movement to break the state union with Serbia. With both gone, the image is changed.

Montenegro likes to stay neutral and not mettle; Premier Zeljko Sturanovic (who is growing tired of being Milo's puppet, despite dying of incurable illness) pointed out that Montenegro supports compromise between Belgrade and Pristina (so it classifies under "oppose"). There have been recent clashdowns on relations with Kosovo, especially considering that many Montenegrins in Kosovo were either expelled or killed by the KLA in the war (the remainder became Serbs). Today the number of Montenegrins in Kosovo (a 20k+ population, that was once even almost 40k) is exactly and precisely 0. --PaxEquilibrium 10:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at my question at Talk:Kingdom of Serbia, and reply there, because I don't want to change it before I see your opinion. Cheers. Sideshow Bob 01:34, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if I'm more confused, or curious, but I do know that I don't know nearly enough about any of this. I hadn't tagged the page for WPMontenegro because it hadn't dawned on me to test if that template/project existed yet (The next one I editted got it, though!). However, why wouldn't it also be WPSerbia? When the first line is "The House of Balšić was a Serbian medieval dynasty that ruled Zeta.", I can't help but wonder how it's not WPSerbia. Add in the last two names in the Heads of House section, which I've been linking an awful lot in my little undertakings, and... well, I'm confused. Unless those two were rulers, but not actually part of the family, or something tangled like that? And if that's the case, where's the Serbian in the first line come from, since it seems the others are only Montenegrin?

And while I'm asking questions anyhow... war refugee from where/what? I know I've seen stuff about fighting nearly everywhere else, but I don't remember seeing any links to fighting taking place in Montenegro. Any chance you'd care to fill in a knowledge-gap? -Bbik 05:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's a grammar point I'm curious about, this time. If the page is "House of Balš", why's it become "under the House of Balša"? (And just in case this all is coming across as argumentative or something, it's not. If I knew enough about any of it to have opinions about how it should be done, I'd have just done it, but since I don't... Curiosity and questions!) -Bbik 17:46, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
