The similarity is not in Allah/dust, rather "X you are, to X you will return". Which is something also used regarding death; it's commonly written on old Jewish graves. Synotia (moan) 15:08, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- Moreover you brought to my attention the poor quality of the Arabic translation. In Arabic there was no word used to mean "Surely" or "verily", a better translation would be "We belong to Allah, and to Him we return" Synotia (moan) 15:12, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- It is not the same. In our communities, we say we are made of 'Earth' and we will return to (becoming) Earth when we die. But this one is different, we are from Allah but not made of Allah. So the similarity is not for this verse, but for the popular saying comes from communities, not the verse. Cokonatliprens (talk) 05:02, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
