Barnstar/MCIIY[edit]

Candy! Thank you so much for the barnstar :D it means allot! I appreciate it very much! Yes, I really tries to incorporate all aspects of the song and write allot of info :) Yes I'm definitely interested in a collabo! All MC pages are in my "get to" list so it works for me! I think its important though to wait until we have allot more info (after December) before we make it a real GA. Thanks again and looking forward to working with you!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, to inform you that "OMG" passed :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:55, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Heya! yeah don't worry I know what you mean. What I do is I have books for older stuff and I go to "MariahDaily.com" and search their archives for old articles for her others CD's. I will do that when it comes to "Mimi" and "E=MC2". Yes I love "Honey" very much. She has allot of good songs if you give em a try! You would have heard some others as well if you didn't get 3 of them deleted :p. Yup I will get to everything hopefully. I will try to have a song done every 2 days :). The singles from the Butterfly album will be next.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 03:53, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes "EOM" will definitely be quite the job! I agree its a two man job I mean its got so much info, so I think two people can properly cover all important aspects. Thats one article I definitely want to take to FA :). Yes well I agree 6-7 is a bit much, but 3-4 shouldn't pose to much of a threat, they really aren't a biggy :D. I'm almost finished "Honey" BTW, care to review? :P--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 07:00, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, we'll start it soon :). Uchhh, I don't even look at the Peer review page, it'll sit there months hahaha. Yup, I will take a look, it should be interesting, I've never done a person yet either. I plan on doing only 1 in the future lol. Yup "HOney" is up and good in the review page :). I'll do one of your as well, its no trouble at all :). I'll do the oldest one on the list.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 20:30, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hhahah yup! I hate it when people do that! I would never quick-fail someone, unless its terrible. I mean, you sit there waiting 3 months and someone just deletes it and doesn't give you a chance. That sucks, someone once did that to me (CK Lakeshade) lol. Yup i will do that one for you! :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 20:51, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fantasia Barrino discography[edit]

I know that it's minor, but MTV still needs to be unitalicised. Oh, and just get round to "My Chick Bad" when you can, I know that you're busy. If you ever want me to watch some pages to protect from vandalism or do GAN fixes, just yell out :). Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:39, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it is mine. I'll support as soon as the MTV things are done! Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:44, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback[edit]

Hello, Candyo32. You have new messages at Dabomb87's talk page.

Singles/songs[edit]

Omg (no pun intended!) this is all very confusing. I have trouble comprehending how some promo singles are on sale. It seems a bit dubious to use OTHERSTUFF, but I don't quite grasp the situation, so I will take your word for it. The thing is that there is no cover for it - wouldn't that make it a non-single? Adabow (talk · contribs) 04:52, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The other thing is that there was no music video... But if you are sure, I will revert to it being a single. BTW, I notice that you want feedback on Taylor Lautner, one quick comment: you can't use rowspan in a sortable table... just try sorting the 'Filmography' and you'll know what I mean. Adabow (talk · contribs) 06:03, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Taylor Lautner[edit]

The {{in use}} template is for brief periods of revising the article and should not remain on the page for long periods of time. The instructions for the template state: "Please remove this template if this page hasn't been edited in several hours. If you are the editor who added this template, please be sure to remove it or replace it with {{Underconstruction}} between editing sessions." Leaving the template on the page while you take a break of hours discourages legitimate edits by other editors. Please be courteous and remove the template if you will be away for a while. Thank you. Cresix (talk) 20:26, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Heyyyy[edit]

Long time no talk! I saw you edited Taylor Lautner. I would have asked you before, but I know you are extremely busy, but if you get a chance, could you just look over the article for any mistakes. I want to get stuff cleared up before it gets to GA and is quick-failed or has like 100+ mistakes, considering it is my first television/film project :) Btw, congrats on "Take It Off"! If I have a chance I may review one of your pending GA's! :) I guess one of these days we'll find the time to do Somebody to Love or My World 2.0. Candyo32 21:40, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ive given it a quick read and corrected referencing errors, i will try to go through in detail and see it i find anything else. Great work on the article BTW. And yes, we will get those article done eventually, but right now im writing Cannibal (EP), Blow (song), Sleazy (Kesha song), Cannibal (Kesha song) and Get Sleazy Tour (which i friggen got blocked over -_- lol, oh well) if you would watch the tour please do because im getting really pissed off at this editor effing my references, boxes and adding youtube. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 21:57, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! And yes..one day haha! I'll keep a look out on the tour page. & I wanted to help you on Sleazy, but it's kinda low on info now. After the EP is released composition and reception can be expanded more than likely. Candyo32 22:02, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, supposedly it may be the second single so info will get expanded, i kinda doubt it tho, i want her to release "The Harold Song" as the second single or "Cannibal". Once she starts more interviews hopefullly the writing and inspiration section will be expanded. Composition isnt bad, except we need someone to friggen mention what genre it is. When Bill Lamb from Abouut does the album review we should get a fair amount of expansion. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 22:08, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Kingofgames2124 <----- i love it when people copy my exact signature and userpage. --__-- - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 06:16, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh that annoys me. But doesnt this right here look extremely familiar mine and this user lol. Anyway that user you were talking about has in their article how much they contribute to the CB discography. Well they are about to have a rude awakening when I finish the FL-ing it, because I remember a while back I think they kept removing certifications from the beside the singles and will more than likely refuse it to convert to the new style. smh. Candyo32 22:31, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thief's lol. It doesnt bother me if its a user i like but not someone who only got it cause i warned them, OH and i love how is "Talk to me" links to my page hahahahaah. And lol, yes, yes he will, i noticed you were revamping it. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 22:37, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So i have in my hands Cannibal, it is absolutely amazing. And i will take a look at both Discographies in the next day or two :) - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 23:40, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Headstrong GA[edit]

Hi Candy, got the review done and ready for you. You got allot to work on, but I didn't wanna fail you :). let me know when your done! also, Talyor Lautner looks really good! BTW, don't forget about "Honey". Thanks :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 20:50, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Candy, I fixed all issues at the AIWFCIY FAC. Please cross them out and express if you support or oppose. Thank you :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:08, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, now we're forsure done! :) Check back please.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:42, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Both Honey and AIWFCIY FAC are ready for ya :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 16:16, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I didn't understand at first. I didn't add that info, it was there before the re-vamp. So since it can't be sourced. I removed it. I think that covers the FAC! :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:10, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Both are done and ready now :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 02:18, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So I commented on Lautner and fixed "Honey". The only thing I don't know how to do is the "Music Flat" thing you pointed out. Can you do that one for me? Thanks :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 23:40, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for both :). Yes I will comment shortly for you! And I'll look at Headstrong later tonight, I'm finishing "My All" :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:13, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Brown discography[edit]

Heya! At Wikipedia:Featured list candidates it says that "Users should not add a second FL nomination until the first has gained substantial support and reviewers' concerns have been substantially addressed." I would wait a week or two before you nominate Chris Brown's discography, until Fantasia's FLC progresses a bit more. Adabow (talk · contribs) 05:16, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would if I were you, because FLC is quite backlogged as well. Adabow (talk · contribs) 05:22, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've just seen your other comment. No music video for "Hot Tottie"? But it's one of Usher's best songs! I'll change "LITC pt 2" back to a single then. Adabow (talk · contribs) 05:24, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, maybe another album is on the way...? I'm reviewing Chris' discography now. Oh, and don't forget about "My Chick Bad"! Adabow (talk · contribs) 00:54, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, there's no hurry from me, but there are some people who get twitchy whenever a GAN is on hold for more than a week. I love "More". It's a shame it's not on my copy of RvR... Adabow (talk · contribs) 01:07, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'll do the {{sortname}} and NZ certs for ya... Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:44, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think you need to remove the bottom frame of the music video. You could replace it with the film set scene, but I'm not fussed. The current frame is not notable and needs to go. I'll get to Lautner now, I missed your message before :). Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:27, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nearly done. Sorry to be a pain, but I spot different issue each time I look at the page. :) Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:42, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable?[edit]

Reliable? http://music.ign.com/articles/113/1135585p1.html . I honestly have no clue, i hope so because it would help ALOT with Cannibal (Kesha song) and Sleazy (Kesha song) and Cannibal (EP). I know its used on video games but i have no clue if it will meet GA and FA standards for references. Any idea? - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:04, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick question.[edit]

I have a question concerning an album article called Mi Plan. It says ℗ 2009 Nelstar Entertainment Inc. Under Exclusive License To Universal Music Latino on iTunes and the album liner itself. So does that mean its labels in the infobox should read both "Universal Music Latino" and "Nelstar" or just "Universal Music Latino"?

Misuse of rollback[edit]

I saw you used rollback twice on the Diggy Simmons article to revert edits that were not vandalism and don't fit in "When to use rollback" of WP:ROLLBACK. Only revert when the reason for revert is absolutely clear, not wikilinking when the person doing it could not be aware the articles were deleted or to perfom edits like this that don't make sense. Similar misuse is here, here, here, and here. If that continues it's likely that you will have your rollback permission removed. Regards Hekerui (talk) 13:32, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That your Twinkle is broken is not an excuse to ignore a behavioral guideline. If you don't want to use rollback properly ask an admin to remove the right. (And if you want to revert to a previous version and leave out previous edits you can simply click at the old revision in the article history and copy the code, and insert it giving a reason.) Hekerui (talk) 13:40, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As I told you above, you can go in the article history an retrieve an old revision and use it to replace a current revision, all without using an undo button. Familiarize yourself with the Wiki functions before misusing a user right. Hekerui (talk) 13:48, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have removed your rollback. Recent instances of use have not been in accordance with WP:ROLLBACK. You may reapply for the tool when you have reread the guidance, undertake to comply with the policy in future and have fixed your twinkle so the temptation to misuse rollback is removed. This is not a time limited removal. As far as I am concerned you can have the tool back as soon as you fulfil these terms. Misuse it after that then... well... Hiya Candzzzz :D[edit]

OMG you have no idea! I almost flipped out! I had to do like 40 reverts lol. I'm like how is "Dreamlover" Rhythm and Blues??!?!? lmao its a pop song. Yes I am always up for it :) Tell me which two your talking about? Well actually "Breakdown" isn't one of my priorities. Let me check out your first so I see how long they are, because my songs vary allot in length :D.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 23:53, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. Man you and this Bieber :p. Sure, hmmm, how about I do those 4 you listed and you these 3. "My All", "Breakdown (Mariah Carey song)" and "Butterfly (Mariah Carey song)"? That Christmas one looks really cute btw :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 03:40, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing :) BTW He won artist of the year at the AMAs lol, I just don't like that slow new song "Pray". I'll start tomorrow :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:20, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I don't believe in that BS! He simply had the most votes!
Lol yeah, hes a good performer. He has looks, moves, dancing and a fairly good singer, he just sometimes forgets he isn't Mariah Carey and goes for these high belting notes lol. But yeah idkk I don't feel the song, but its def going to be cool seeing him when he comes out with a brand new studio album. BTW who were your favorites? I don't really like Rihanna. I luv Katy Perry, shes so beatiful and genuine. Lol and Kesha, ichhhhh no comment lmaoo--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:51, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree, he has a deeper voice than me and I'm 19!lol, so what do I sound like then!? lol
Yes, no joke, this kid is gonna work with every major hip hop and r&b musician in existence! Yes, and believe it or not, that was one of Rihanna's better performances. Her medley on SNL was disgraceful. Pink happnes to be a very good singer, but she was using back-up vocals and backtrack wayy to much during her performance! I also wish she also sang her new song "Fuckin' Perfect" which is really hoT! Ichhh I don't like Xtina at all, I used to, but she is wayy overrated. Her voice is horrbile, shes always doing those grunts and roars, she sounds like a dog, she has no vocal technique or range; plus she is so fat now lol and I dont like any of the new music from her movie :s. I don't like Taylor either! Her new look is HOT btw, but she isnt the least bit talented, all her songs sound the same and she cant sing lol. Enrqiue was HORRID, he cant sing at all. Usher was as always good and professional! Good voice and moves. Miley as always, EHhhhhhh, she cant sing or dance. Kid rock actually is a pretty good live singer, I was surprised! I didnt like Bon Jovi though. B.E.P were horrible like always. I hate their music and hope they Flop, Im not ready for their radio takeover again! lastly Kanye, I donot like so dont get me started! (I dont like allot of todsays new talent as you may notice) As for Katy, the thing is "Firework" is a hard song to sing, its very belty and gusty, so I dont blame her. She has a very good voice, but lacks practice and technique, she needs to keep working on it (shes gotten much better). The rest werent worth mention lol, (aka Kesha).--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:56, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree!!! Except you know, xtinas on the bottom for me :p--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:56, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Papers[edit]

Is "Papers" a single or a promo single? The article says it is a single, but {{Usher singles}} and Usher discography regard it as a promo single. Adabow (talk · contribs) 20:06, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think we need to have consistency, so I'll change it in the navbox and discography. If we get into an edit war then I'll just lay everything out to the obsessives :). Will you help me if this happens? Adabow (talk · contribs) 21:16, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced genres[edit]

No, it is not true Candy, no one source says "Baby" is synth pop, that is your own analysis. Please send me (LINK) what source says baby is synth pop and dance pop, those genres are unsourced. I have citations that use reliable sources and no one says that "Baby" is synth pop. I have citations that says "Baby" is a soul song that uses hip hop/dance drums. I will add it, because I investigate this song.

I think that the problem is the confusion of the term "pop", it is just an abbreviation of popular, pop music (popular music), pop culture (popular culture) or pop art (popular art), etc. I have citations that prove that.

Synth pop is not the real name of the genre, the real genre is techno new wave. Dance pop is not the real name of the genre, the real genre is dance/electronic dance. Synth pop and Dance pop were invented by people that did a wrong analysis of those styles Pop is short for popular, it is the real meaning.

If you added unsourced genres like synth pop for "Baby" (Justin Bieber), then you'd be against the neutral point of view and verifiability policies. It would not be serious or objective.

I have consensus to remove synth pop, because many users consider that synth pop is a wrong genre for "Baby" (Justin Bieber), but I hope that you remove synth pop and dance pop, specially synth pop. It would be your great contribution to the credibility of Wikipedia. I will add a new sourced information about the song. For now, this will be my contribution. --Newalf (talk) 18:27, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Haha nice! Have you got the album yet, I've heard it's really good? Oh, and nice work on "Hot Tottie" - that was fast! Adabow (talk · contribs) 20:58, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'd love to! It is one of the more complex discographies, isn't it :). Just tell me when you're ready to start working on it. I might have a look now to see what needs doing. Adabow (talk · contribs) 22:26, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to bring this up again, but I do really think that "Love in This Club Part II" is a non-single. Not only does it have neither a single cover nor a music video, which almost always accompany singles, but Rap-Up calls "Trading Places" the third single from Here I Stand (after "Love in This Club" and "Moving Mountains"). The only verification of release is the radio add date, which only applies for the U.S.. You said that singles released after an album's release were only sent to radio in the U.S. (no digital release), but this was sent to radio before the album was released. Adabow (talk · contribs) 21:16, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jeez this is complicated. Being in the US yourself, did people view it as a single? Adabow (talk · contribs) 21:49, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. OK, as I seem to be the only one thinking otherwise (and the article was originally created as a single), I'll just take your word for it. Thank you so much for your help and explanations! Adabow (talk · contribs) 23:36, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I put my two cents in, but they seem to be saying "it's a promo because that's the way it is", lol. A lot of singles are download-only now. Ah well. And thanks! I'm trying to very slowly get Here I Stand up to GT, it might take me a long time though haha. Someone got all the Confessions articles to GA as well but they need a touch-up so I'll do that one day too... Adabow (talk · contribs) 23:47, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha good one wrecking my talk page :P. Lol yeah right. I got my first GA listed this morning lol. There is so little information out there, and because HIS is two and a half years old, half of the web reviews have gone dead. I wish someone would hurry up and write a book about Usher (then we might be able to send his bio to FAC lol). You shouldn't need to do Versus and its singles to do RvR GT, The Fame is a GT without The Fame Monster's articles. "More" was just on the radio here and they played a really dancey version of it, yuck. Gosh I wish he would put out another Confessions. I can't believe that 'N Sync beat him for album of the 2000s...smh... Adabow (talk · contribs) 00:31, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Candy :) So I'm re-vamping the song, but am having trouble with the composition section. Its tricky as Carey's verses are set in a higher key than Houston's and her vocal range is different. I wrote the section, but am not happy with it. Can you please take a look and fix any note issues and do a copy-edit on that small section? The sources are already there so you can take a look. Thats the only one I need help on. Thanks a bunch! :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 19:47, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There has been a bit of edit warring over the genre in the infobox, so I looked at the Allmusic source, but it doesn't give any info on "OMG". Do you wanna take a look? :) Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:56, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, do you know anything about "What's Your Name?". The Here I Stand article says it was released as a promo single in Australia, but it smells like OR. Heard of it? Adabow (talk · contribs) 22:43, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. I'll presume it was not a promo until someone presents a source, I guess. Adabow (talk · contribs) 05:09, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, are there any sites apart from Radio and Records that list radio add dates? "Trading Places" is not listed there. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:23, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I Am... Sasha Fierce[edit]

hi, can you help me make the album pass GA? I have already completed all the work. However, i was told that the article is too long. I tried to explain that it was because it is a double album. Nevertheless, some information should disappear. Can you help me? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 08:17, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you wholeheartedly. I have already formatted all references and done a copy edit of the whole article and checked for dead links. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 12:50, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

for deleting the errant line of text here but I'd like to point out that not everyone who edits Wikipedia knows which template to use and where to find them. For instance, I *really* don't, but think that this IP-editor has a good point, that a disambiguation link is needed to the similarly-sounding alcoholic drink. I asked in help and someone there was able to point me to the correct template so the article has now been adjusted. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 16:05, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not happy about the block[edit]

Sorry. I suspect that you strongly feel that you were fighting on the side of right, but you crossed four reverts. I've blocked both of you for 24 hours. Use {{unblock}} if you want to fight over it, but I suspect you will be better off marshalling a good argument for your side. I've reverted the article to Dec 1, before the edit warring broke out.—Kww(talk) 04:45, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I know I shouldn't have reverted that many times, and thought that I would be protected in that the user was adding unsourced content, but after reading WP:3RR, I see this is only for obvious vandalism. Candyo32 04:50, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proof[edit]

Lol I found firm proof that LiTC pt II is a single! [2] It redirects to the album page but hey, it still confirms the single-ness of it, right? Btw sorry about your block... the offer still stands to watch any pages that are attracting a lot of fancruft. Adabow (talk · contribs) 02:29, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yess! Finally some concrete evidence. And yes, its unfortunate but its fine, I was just trying to keep unsourced changes off my FL. Speaking of, could you do me favor and undo this edit [3]. The user thinks that "motivational" is NPOV. It's not like its saying "A sample of the song featuring awesome lyrics." Motivational meaning lyrics that motivate the listener, which are sourced by several critics is needed to be in the caption. Also one more thing, in the "Other charted songs" for Chris Brown discography, could you change "releases that failed to chart" to "songs that failed to chart" and resolve the pending comment from The Rambling Man on the review page? Thanks A LOT :) Candyo32 02:39, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey :) perfect, I'm patient! Yeah it is, but her album and everything would do SO much better if she did some damn live singing promo, she only done 1 so far, and its been out over a month. Diva by Beyonce[edit]

Hi. Can you help me please? If you see the section "Music Video" for "Rose Colored Glasses" of Kelly Rowland, you will see like "a block" of images. Can you make one for me for "diva" using the link http://www.rap-up.com/2008/11/23/beyonce-gets-in-diva-mode-for-new-video/ ????????? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 08:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Adabow told me to search for MTV and Rap-Up to get more information. That's what i did and i found this ((((((((((((I have already spoken to Adabow but he didn't quite understand and told me to ask you to help me))))))))))) but i am not used to such English [I AM MAURITIAN].... So please explain it to me. This information may be added to the Background section:

Beyoncé's "I'm a Diva" and Mario's "Break Up": "Keyshia Cole did something to the track at the same time Beyoncé did. I was gonna replace the Keyshia Cole track and go with the Beyoncé play. That's where 'Break Up' came about, because I made 'Break Up' out of that, trying to replace what [Keyshia] had. But Keyshia never responded. 'Break Up' came about because J. Records wanted some music like Beyoncé for Mario: 'Yo, gimme that Beyoncé sound.' So I gave it to Mario. Because of 'A Milli,' people were gravitating towards those beats. 'I'm a Diva' I originally was gonna put on a mixtape and put my female artist on it. But Beyoncé wanted it. So what I'mma say? 'That's not a real track'?"

AIWFCIY[edit]

Hi Candy, on the FAC someone wrote this "The chord progression in the composition section doesn't appear to make sense. "A♭-F ♭-1" is how it is written, which is invalid. I tried to look for the sheet music that is referenced, but there are multiple versions at Musicnotes.com, so the specific one needs to be linked to in the reference. Back to the chord progression: there are much more than 2 or 3 chords in this song, so this appears to be incomplete. Furthermore, "♭-1" is not a note... "F♭1" is. According to all the copies of the sheet music I've looked at on Musicnotes, the chord progression should start on G." I'm not good with that as you know lol, can you fix the little composition part in the article so it meets these issues? Here is the page one and two and three Thank you! :) Also, since the sources I just gave you are sourcing different thing such as vocals and instrumentation, can you put the correct source with each claim? Also, come back and check those comments! :P--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 20:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Justin Bieber edits[edit]

Candy, you are not being reasonable with your deletions of the names of the girls in the U Smile video. Entertainment Weekly and MTV are not the only sources for information. I'm going to file a complaint against you for abuse of powers, and let other people know that you are squatting this page in an unreasonable, arrogant way. This link, http://www.NinaandRanda.com, clearly shows Nina and Randa Nelson in the U Smile video, as well as photos from the shoot featuring these two girls. The many links posted featuring Anastasia Kassar, who played the love interest of Justin Bieber, are proof that she was in fact in the video. Here is a cast photo from the set - and it's on Buchwald Talent Group's facebook. And yes, facebook IS a reliable source, when the page is run by the company itself. Buchwald represents some of the biggest stars in the industry - Howard Stern, for one. Do you even know who that is? Do you honestly think that a huge agency like Buchwald would lie about their clients involvement in a project? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=439154028971&set=a.92179818971.82447.78177083971

This is the agency which represents the twins. It took me about five minutes to find this on facebook, by searching on their names. I have not been able to find the agents for the other girls, but I'm looking. I have found literally hundreds of articles about Alexandria Kassar, however, talking about her involvement with the U Smile Bieber. The fact that you continue to delete valid credits, despite overwhelming evidence of their accuracy, would seem to imply that you have some other agenda, and that your page is very inaccurate. Are you perhaps jealous of these pretty teen girls? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vegwitch (talkcontribs) 23:31, 11 December 2010 (UTC) Wrong, Candy. Just because something is on a "free site" does not mean it is not verifiable. Showing you a facebook page controlled by one of the top agencies in the country (you seem to be blissfully unaware that talent agents cannot lie about work their clients have done), with a photo of Justin Bieber himself with the cast of the video is EVIDENCE and VERIFIED. Your eyes are your proof, Candy. I saw these girls in the video, did you? Did you watch the video? Do you know the names of the girls in the video? How are you going to find out who they are? Do you care? The fact that you yourself, who are squatting this page, are doing absolutely NOTHING to verify, shows that you are not qualified to continue this kind of work. Yes, this is evidence: http://wwww.NinaandRanda.com. This is the official website of two of the girls in the video. U Smile is on the website. Photos of the girls IN THE VIDEO are on the website. This is EVIDENCE. This would be evidence in a court of law. Do you know what this is? http://www.whitehouse.gov/ This is the website for the white house. Are you going to tell me now that Barack Obama is not president, unless it's listed in Entertainment Weekly? Your logic is completely ludicrous, and does not comport with any official or unofficial policy of Wikipedia. Can you prove that the information supplied is inaccurate? If you cannot, and you continue to delete information VERIFIED by multiple sources, then it becomes obvious that you are driven by ego, not a desire by truth. You are abusing your power by removing information which you cannot dispute, and hiding behind some fake policy. That is just incredibly dishonest, and you certainly deserve discipline for that.[reply]

I just found another article: http://www.vegsource.com/news/2010/09/nina-randa-and-justin-beiber.html

I looked up vegsource on the whois, and it was opened in 1996. Are you now going to say that this site isn't good enough for Wikipedia, one that has been around for 14 years? Who are YOU to decide that? I found literally HUNDREDS of articles about Anastasia Kassar in this video. HUNDREDS. So they are all making that up? The other girls, Alexandria Terry and Cassidy Shaffer seem to be a little more obscure, but I think there is little doubt that they are the ones in the video, as the twins and Kassar point them out as well. I found out about these girls from Justin Bieber himself, on his twitter. So Justin is lying too? You are not reasonable. Prove me wrong, go ahead. Try. And in trying to prove me wrong, you will find that I'm right. And if you don't try to do this, then you need to be banned yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vegwitch (talkcontribs) 00:03, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Single Ladies[edit]

Ok it doesn't matter although i confess to you that i would have loved to do that. I didn't polish it immediately since i had to use the raw information for writing a composition section. I'm nevertheless happy that all Beyonce articles are being taken up to GA. I really enjoy working with you. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 07:47, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay and if i manage to get the sameimage from "flickr"? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 22:07, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am very happy to hear that? By the way, are you and Adabow still working on Single Ladies? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 04:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, okay, but Novice7 told me to take it to FA. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 13:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can i nominate it for GA now? I am left with some copy edit. I will not nominate it right now. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 13:35, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well Candy, in case you forgot, if i am able to do such work today, it is mainly because i owe it to helpful and welcoming people like you. I really wish everyone could be like you and Novice7. You two are great friends. It is true that i have never saw you two but i can bet you are both very king-hearted. Thanks for always keeping an eye on what i am doing and most importantly for giving me helpful pieces of advice.

But i did not understand what you meant by "The chartings of IIWAB and SL are much more comprehensive than "Broken-Hearted Girl" but I would suggest taking a look at that article if you ever have to promote a song of that caliber and chartings, and that is an ideal section length. But with the much larger SL & IIWAB, of course it would take more but be careful of how much. Hope all is well, continue to do great work"??????? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:26, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes my friend. Hey i hope you are not angry? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:32, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Candy, i know i may sound foolish but i want to ask you for forgiveness if ever you didn't like what i wrote in the edit summary. Please believe me, I am really sorry. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:37, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks. Thanks also for wishing me Merry Christmas. Same to you. By the way, do you live in the US? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:46, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually i wanted to request not to write very long sentences when you communicate with me. I am not a native speaker of English and i cannot always follow what you say. This is why i often ask you to re-explain certain things to me. In my country, we speak both English and French. However, i prefer French. It is so easy to understand and speak as well as write. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:56, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think i can now nominate "Why Don't You Love Me" for GA? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:58, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about the chart performance. I will be working on it. I will reduce the lead of "Why Don't You Love Me". The article has already been copy-edited by "Reaper". Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:05, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok i am removing it immediately. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:13, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh no not at all. I have a too much of respect for you to think like that. Lol. Spanish classes? Oh my god. Is it difficult? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:19, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bye Candy. I am going to bed. I have physics tuition tomorrow. See you. Merry Christmas. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:32, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the peer review is here Wikipedia:Peer review/Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)/archive1. And it is absolutely clear that the user has no knowledge about Beyonce. Read the review. You will understand why i am telling you this. He/she did not even understand that the album is a composed of two disc... etc. Oh my god. It's incredible. Seems like he/she wants to suck all my blood. Lol. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 07:43, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay but please do not remove the image. I swear that i did not tell Novice7 anything. He himself contacted me and told me that the peer review fell in wrong hands. The one who reviewed it knows nothing about Beyonce. Can you imagine he/she is comparing her to the Beatles? Incredible. And the image with Knowles' flashing her ring is important because it is the only public statement of her marriage. Can it be moved to the background section? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:22, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For God sake (i mean Beyonce sake), do not assign all the changes as in the peer review, contact Novice7. He will tell you that the song fell in the hands of someone who knows nothing about the career of Beyonce. Some of the changes recommended are completely irrelevant. Please think twice. In other words, its like if an alien has landed accidentally on the blue planet. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 18:22, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Forgive me for barging in, but Candy and Jivesh, I didn't mean it that way. I meant, FA and GA reviews not necessarily be done by someone who knows everything about the article or the person. The main aim of GA and FA is to create an article, which the readers can understand properly. I've read through the peer review, and I must say the reviewer is thorough and very good. He put out some errors, which really made sense to me. I hope I'm correct. Also, Candy knows waayy.. more than me about Peer Reviews, GA and FA, 'cause he's been here for quite some time, unlike me. Novice7 | Talk 05:29, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for late reply Candy, actually i have been very busy because of something very personal. I now agree with you. Forgive me for my immaturity. Try to understand that i am a huge fan of Beyonce and i got carried away. I have expressed my apologies to the PR Reviewer also. Please forgive me and you cam make all the changes you want. Please reply me. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 17:07, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to the PR, the composition is well written but it still lacks a lot of information. Can i expand it using this http://blog.fixyourmix.com/2009/single-ladies-by-beyonce-a-compositional-analysis/ and http://www.modernbeats.com/hit-talk/single-ladies-beyonce-music-production/ ? If yes, i would really appreciate your help here because i am not very good at elaborating on this. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 06:30, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey my friend, i hope you are not angry. I left you a message yesterday and today as well. By the way, will you be able to help me with the composition section of Single Ladies when you have finished with with your article? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 11:26, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay Candy but will you have time to help with that before Christmas? Jivesh boodhun (talk) 16:47, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Candy. I left you a link from Modern beats so that you can help me write more on Composition. A user is opposing to pass Halo for FA (that is what i understood) because it lacks information in this section and the PR reviewer told the same thing. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 04:45, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Secondly Candy, "Single Ladies' bridge consists of "Uh-Oh-Uh-Oh" similar to "Crazy in Love" but i need to source that. I cannot find anything. Jivesh boodhun (talk) 04:47, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do your Bieber ones if you do one of mine? By the way, I think with three of us (plus Tbhotch) if we work hard enough we might be able to take Single Ladies to FAC one day. There is a lot of meat on that article. Adabow (talk · contribs) 20:22, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lol PG9901's name is Nathan; Kww is Kevin :P. Nathan's gonna review "Moving Mountains", but I'll do all three of yours as they're not too long. It can be an early Christmas/late birthday present lol. Adabow (talk · contribs) 00:36, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gross Voices[edit]

Hahahahaha, I knew you'd get a kick out of that! :) I hate it when people exaggerate her success or talent. No she isn't as successful as Britney and no she isn't nearly as talented as Mariah, Whitney or Celine lol :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 03:21, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Candy, there is an issue. First of all, the mag doesn't say she uses it, it says it sounds good without it. econdly, it is not possible for her. You find me 1 note live or studio that she has produced that is in the whistle register. I don't care if a magazine says it, it is not true lol. Guarantee it, she has a high falsetto (not pleasant) thats about it.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 03:26, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About Single Ladies FA[edit]

Hey Candy, I asked Jivesh to nominate it for a FA. I read somewhere that you don't have to nominate an article for GA to get it to FA. The article looks really good. Correct me if I'm wrong. Novice7 | Talk 13:37, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good. I thought as Peer review is open, it would compensate for the GA. Thanks for explaining. Novice7 | Talk 13:49, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank God you're online! Please check this out - Back to December. A user nominated it for GA. Stupid me reviewed it and now I'm in trouble.. The song's still charting, so I cannot be a GA now. Right? Novice7 | Talk 13:51, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah.. Am I relieved? Thank you. Well, the user has done a great job. Usually, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift get treatment from Ipodnano05, but unfortunately he's having troubles with his Internet. So, you like Taylor, Selena, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Ciara ... You're good LOL! Btw, do you know Jessica Simpson? I could use a helping hand on her articles. That is, if you like her. Novice7 | Talk 13:57, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It all started with Mariah. I went from Mariah to Whitney (When You Believe), then from Whit to Jess (influences). Now, I also like Carrie (Jess+Carrie fight LOL). I like country music (I love Taylor too), pop and all kinds of Mariah music. Btw, you really like Justin. Don't you? If you want to edit Back to December, it's open. You could give me a helping hand. I fixed some minor issues. if you could check it out.. :) Novice7 | Talk 14:09, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some genre issues[edit]

I could do with your opinion at What's My Name? (Rihanna song) with some pretty determined editors who appear to be suggesting that all Rihanna song are only "R&B" and no other genres. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 20:00, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Candy, can you please do the composition section of How Will I Know? Here, in this sandbox. I've posted the link to Sheet music on my talk page, as a reply to your comment. Also, is there something like key shift at the end of the song? Novice7 | Talk 14:26, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First, thank you for completing the chord progression and second, thank you for explaining Jivesh what I meant. Actually, I meant the same thing that you said, but he kinda mistook me. Anyways, I've gathered some sources for The Way That I Love You. There are in here. I've also tagged some sources, because I have doubts about their reliability. Novice7 | Talk 13:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Candy! So, I wanna ask you something. Can we use Pandora Radio as a source for writing composition? It has some interesting stuff on songs. I was wondering if I could use it. Also, TWTILY, can we start this week end? I'd be busy these three days, as I still have school. Can you check the remaining sources? There are many sources which say about the "infamous" music video. Novice7 | Talk 16:55, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But, it's not Pandora Radio, but some Music Genome Project. It shows the musical specifications of the song. Novice7 | Talk 04:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Candy, could you take a look here? Xwomanizer wants to delete the article, but most say it should not be. What do you think? The article is short now and it can be merged with Britney's article right? Novice7 | Talk 16:34, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all your help. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! I read that you're working on some other articles. Me too! I'm working on some Whitney articles. I'll contact you as soon as I get them finished. Novice7 | Talk 16:46, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha... Lol... But it seems like an old video's screenshot. Well, maybe because its two in place of one :D Novice7 | Talk 01:27, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the correction (I watch the page). I'd forgotten about that. What do you think, is it okay? Novice7 | Talk 16:18, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Candy! I'm kinda free now. I've moved TWTILY to my sandbox here. Novice7 | Talk 04:38, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One question. Can I nominate any information from How Will I Know for a "Did you know"? Novice7 | Talk 16:51, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay fine. I have like 6 songs on my list. This is of "Top" priority right now. Merry Christmas again! (I don't know why, but I can't stop saying Merry Christmas!) Novice7 | Talk 16:51, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hi[edit]

Hey Candy, (what do you think of my new user page?) Erm hello to you to. Sorry I've not been around... real life for you. I'm so gutted for Ciara but the blame lies with the entire team behind Basic Instinct. The reviews were generally good so you can't necessarily blame it on the material but the choice of singles and timing of promotion is disgraceful. The fact that Ciara has never had her own headline tour or performed at one of the major music award ceremonies as a solo artist is horrific. I think Jive dont really have a place for Ciara anymore. She would do much better on Interscope in my opinion. But there you go... last I heard "Turn It Up" is being released next. Yes we should get to work on "Ride" soon. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | (talk) 21:10, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hmm yeah i meant the timing of the singles and promotion was shocking. The worst thing about this whole Basic Instinct era is that the album is going to tank majorly oversees too but cause she's done no promo here. Its not like she's even going to be able to say "well at least I was successful in XYZ country". -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | (talk) 22:54, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
She kinda needs to go away and focus on making a relevant record. Don't get me wrong... I enjoyed Fantasy Ride but only because it was kinda commercial pop. With Basic Instinct it oozes Ciara but doesn't really fit with modern radio or the whole 'hood' image she keeps claiming she's gone back to. She needs to give herself 12 months to record a record with bout 12-14 songs which has more of a mixture of down-tempos, mid-tempos but mostly uptempos. She kinda needs to drop the techno/electro sound too and find something different. I think you're right ... she's not relevant anymore. "Turn It Up" while great sounds like a versus reject record. funnily enough its the records on BI where others were involved e.g. "Heavy Rotation" were things get most interesting. *sighs* I have a feeling this era is gonna be over in the new year and I really do fear that she is heading for the label shop. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | (talk) 23:16, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ciara is set to crunch into the top fifty. Basic Instinct will chart around number 43 with 37,940 copies. :O -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 01:54, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Its mega embarrassing even for a singles artist because to be fair "Ride" was quite a big hit. She should have hit at least 60k. To think Fantasy Ride only sold around 80k but landed at number three o_O. Internationally the album well and truly tanked too... it missed top-twenty on the R&B charts. Missed top 50 in Austria general, missed 100 in the UK. I can't see Jive/LaFace pumping any more money into the project. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:09, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
P.s. hope you dont mind... i added some credits/recording info for you at Knock You Down. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:36, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA reviews[edit]

Hey, how are you? I had fun away, but returned to a lot of activity on Wiki. I have passed all three of your reviews, and don't forget to create a supplementary nom for Bieber's two for the My World GT. With "Trading Places", YoRapper seems to be the only source that mentions stuff like hip-hop influences of the song. Apparently they do "album reviews, movie reviews, breaking news", but if you still think it is unreliable I will remove the info. Have a Merry Christmas!! Single Ladies >> Extremely URGENT[edit]

Hi Candy. do you still remember you wrote a very good lead for me when i was working on "Diva". Please do the for "Single Ladies". I mean the lead contains all the information but it needs to have a certain flow so that someone (let's say someone who does not know neither the song nor Beyonce) understands the lead as if he is reading a novel. Please, please, please, help me. I know you are quite busy these days but still i am requesting you...... Jivesh boodhun (talk) 06:19, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas![edit]

Really[edit]

wanted to review this but i think i'm too involved. :(

About "Ride", i'm free too so we can work on it over next few days. It will prob. need a general copy edit etc. Thanks for the comment about "Coming Home". I generally find it hard to expand hip-hop songs because they don't tend to get much reliable coverage but cause the song has pop elements its received quite a bit of coverage, I wanted to make it a GA topic but there's very little info on the other singles. I didn't rate "Love Comes Down" or "Angels" very much personally. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:05, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I was shocked to see that Seven from RichGirl was featured on LTP. To be fair some of RG's material has been really good... "Lucky You Are" was amazing. I think they need a unique sound. TBH there isn't much demand in the US market for a girlgroup although the gap definitely exists. Righty-eo that sounds good with "Ride". Btw are you an Alicia Keys fan? I was think it was time she got a remake So i've started "Un-Thinkable" though I need to shift the infobox chronologies around and work some more on it. Then I'll prob do the Beyoncé duet. What do you think? (the album's already in decent nick. Will prob just need a going over... copy edit etc.) -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:14, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
okies well I'm happy to leave TSWBH to you... i'll do Un-Thinkable and PIIALS.... if we try and do those three first. Then the others. I've asked Yves if he's interested too. =) Ciara is main focus right now... I'll start some changes on Gimmie Dat if I can find some info for it. I really want "Heavy Rotation" and "Turn It Up" to be released. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:20, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
even though i despise her i could help but work on her latest single so im prob gonna take that to GA too... (randomly). Yes the Keys thing would be good... I'd like to work on some of her older stuff and maybe her discog too? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:27, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise.... I'll see if I can drop my your FL nomination. which is it? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:45, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here you go Candyo, [6] and [7]. There's a duplicate too [8] (my internet froze for few moments, so a double upload took place :D) I use Mediamonkey to create previews and then covert them. Well, what do you say about 0:31 - 0:49? The male verses would be very short then. Maybe some portion from the end, where both male and female verses are equally heard, like 2:33 or something? Also, about GAN, it is How Will I Know and Why Does It Hurt So Bad :) I'll review Falling Down and Speechless? Okay. Great. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:16, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. You are funny Candy. By the way, i really feel sorry for Ciara. She really does not deserve that. She is hard-working. But to be frank, on her new album, i like only "Ride". It is just amazing. Have you heard a leaked song featuring Ciara vocals "WHY YOU"? It is simply mind-blowing. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:24, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was having a look at the Beyonce wiki-project and guess what... All the songs on "I Am... Sasha Fierce" have passed or are GA potentials. Please finish the album too, Candy. Please. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:27, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh nooo Candy. Not even top 10.... Well, i would say top 7. Jokes apart. I always have an eye on Billboard album sales. What's more strange is that Ciara did not promote the album when needed. The best she can do now is come up with an album filled with dance-pop songs. Trust me, it will sell a lot. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:30, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Candy i know that maybe you think i am obsessed by Beyonce. Well, it is true nut i can also help with other articles like Ciara and Justin Bieber. I also like Justin a lot simply because his music is refreshing and he loovesss Beyonce. Lol. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:33, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think i will have to agree to what you said. sometimes, i am really scared. I do not know if you have noticed but it seems like no RnB artist is currently having success. It's really bad. To me, RnB and Hip Hop are the bat genres. I also like pop. By the way, i think "Turn it Up" has the potential to crack at least the top 20 on the Hot 100. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:40, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey i just notice you said "your lady gagas and kty perrys", don't you like them? Jivesh Talk2Me 18:46, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No. Now go sleep else I will throw a lizard on you. — Legolas (talk2me) 18:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Very funny Legolas. I hate lizards. Today, i found one jumping here and there on my working table. I had to put some disinfectant in all my books and pencil case. What's even worse is that, yesterday i unknowingly rested my hand on a camaleonchameleon ( a reptile much longer than lizards ) that was on my mango tree. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:51, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Candy i love that artist, i mean Keyshia Cole. In January, i will start with Alicia Keys but 2011 will be my last year of secondary education. So i might not always be here. I will be able to help during the week-ends but trust me, i will help you. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:53, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the correction, Mr. English Teacher (Legolas Sir). Jivesh Talk2Me 18:57, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ohh, I didn't mean it in a negative way, lol. I like Lady Gaga and love me some Katy. I was making a point that they are electropop singles artists with fairly decent sales, of like near 200k or more, then you have the lower-performing ones. Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 19:00, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, i have understood now, Goodnight, Sweet Dreams. Jivesh Talk2Me 19:08, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Candy days ago i asked you a question related to this song. Have you ever heard it? Ciara is great here. Please let me know what you think about the song. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:51, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The song is great. It was originally recorded by Kenya. By the way, the cultural impact needs to be reduced but i disagree that the New Zealand boy thing should be removed because Time magazine told that it was the 4th most viral video of 2009 according to its own survey. Jivesh Talk2Me 04:40, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Candy. This is why i told you keep an eye on the PR. Another reviewer also commented and told me remove a lot of it since it has an article for itself. I moved the information to its page. Do you really like it? Jivesh Talk2Me 05:23, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To be frank with you, i would also have loved to keep the whole of it. It was very well written. Jivesh Talk2Me 05:29, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will ask Legolas and see what his opinion is. I will keep you informed. Are you working on any particular article right now? Jivesh Talk2Me 05:45, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will be reviewing the article according to the GA status and hope you will knock your senses to correct them as I go. And lol at the last comment by Jivesh above. — Legolas (talk2me) 18:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Ambassador Program is looking for new Online Ambassadors[edit]

Hi Candyo32! I noticed your activity as a Good Article reviewer, and wanted to let you know about the Wikipedia Ambassador Program, and specifically the role of Online Ambassador. We're looking for friendly Wikipedians who are good at reviewing articles and giving feedback to serve as mentors for students who are assigned to write for Wikipedia in their classes.

If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look at the Online Ambassador guidelines; the "mentorship process" describes roughly what will be expected of mentors in the coming term. If that's something you want to do, please apply!

You can find instructions for applying at WP:ONLINE. The main things we're looking for in Online Ambassadors are friendliness, regular activity (since mentorship is a commitment that spans several months), and the ability to give detailed, substantive feedback on articles (both short new articles, and longer, more mature ones).

I hope to hear from you soon.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 21:59, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Synthpop[edit]

Hmm... I see what you mean. I don't know... calling this song purely "R&B" i don't quite agree with. It has a clear electro/synth element to it. Perhaps you're right. synths in the composition / reception sections probably suffice. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:40, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I won't object to the removal of synthpop =) Erm yeah there's not much left to do with "Ride". A general copy edit and some reference issues I've noticed. But other than that things are looking decent. What do you think? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 23:02, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
LOL!!! I fell of my chair when I read the album booklet and saw Cassie's name under background vocals on Coming Home! Basically Kalenna and Dawn provide background vocals for Skylar in the chorus so who knows where Cassie appears... tbh some of her earlier stuff and her first album was quite good. Problem is a lot of her tracks could be done by Rihanna or Beyoncé a lot better. Althought I do love THIS song by her. Its so cool. But then I heard it was a JLo demo... which is an interesting idea to throw around... -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 15:54, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks thanks. I love "ass on the floor" is my fav. song from the album :P it should blow up into a hit. But currently there is some debate over whether its an official single or not. See (and comment) at WP:SONGS (talk page) please. Your US knowledge would be useful on the situation. That reminds me... need to check for end-of-year charts for Ride. Also an article published yday in scottish newspaper said kelly rowland's third album will be self-titled in the UK/abroad and feature "RCG" "GW" and "Haterz" with all three being released in some form. (would they work in the UK as singles?). Apparently an entirely different record (different title, packaging etc.) is being released in mid 2011 in the US. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:03, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Finally able to nominate this... its been a work in a long progress. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 20:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also if you get chance you might wish to comment on this move discussion for Basic Instinct (the film) -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 21:30, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The funny thing is HGM is not even mentioned in that many of the reviews. When it is... none pick up on the obvious hip-hop beat... a bit tragic really. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:00, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
LYNM appears to be an invisible single release that was quickly glazed over. Shame cus its a decent song. Found something from MTV -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:02, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh good stuff congrats. I've just started (and nearly finished) readying Poison (Nicole Scherzinger song) for GA.. though I'm gonna hold on till second single is released before nomming. Im prob gonna do some groundwork for In a Perfect World... too soon. I can sense a GA topic coming on... -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:12, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I did start work on Battlefield (song) a long time ago so it might be the easiest one to do. I'd like to do No Air (song). -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:22, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why Does it Hurt So Bad[edit]

Candy, you reviewed the article here and passed it. However, I can still see outstanding issues in the article in terms of Song MoS, formatting and poor language. My question to you is, are you not aware of these issues or are you being hasty with your review? Because ultimately it is the article which is getting hurt in the process, and a new aspiring editor like Novice7 is being conspired to think that whatever he wrote is fine. Imagine how hard the article will be burnt if it is ever to proceed to FAC. The most recent examples being the MC articles being continuously nominated and being failed. I hope you treat this with importance. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:58, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Candy. I will be reviewing your GA nomination of "Falling Down". Before I start the review, please fix the few headline problems I noticed. Thanks! ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 16:12, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please take part[edit]

Please take part in the discussion regarding Skylar Grey here. I'm not convinced they are the same person, and the fact that a non-active IP user brought up the discussion is quite questionable. ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 04:24, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, don't worry about it. I'm the same way. Now I'm just messing around with my subpages, when I have like 3 GA reviews to do, among other things. xD I understand where's it coming from [on your comment] but as Jack said in the purposeful, I don't think until we have hard evidence we shouldn't merge them. Even if it was merged, how would that work? We really don't have any information about anything really regarding them both being the same person. ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 06:52, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the 2011 WikiCup![edit]

Hello, happy new year and welcome to the 2011 WikiCup! Your submissions' page can be found here and instructions of how to update the page can be found here and on the submissions' page itself. From the submissions' page, a bot will update the main scoresheet. Our rules have been very slightly updated from last year; the full rules can be found here. Please remember that you can only receive points for content on which you have done significant work in 2011; nominations of work from last year and "drive-by" nominations will not be awarded points. Signups are going to remain open through January, so if you know of anyone who would like to take part, please direct them to Wikipedia:WikiCup/2011 signups. The judges can be contacted on the WikiCup talk page, on their respective talk pages, or by email. Other than that, we will be in contact at the end of every month with the newsletter. If you want to stop or start receiving newsletters, please remove your name from or add your name to this list. Good luck! J Milburn and The ed17 12:56, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ashanti articles[edit]

Hi Candy! Saw you've signed for WikiCup. What if we stop Ashanti articles for a while and do Carrie stuff? That is, if it's okay to do during WikiCup (I hardly know anything about WikiCup). I'd like to start with Temporary Home, if you like. Novice7 | Talk 14:58, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re[edit]

Yeah, well I wasn't necessarily just talking to you there. Just thought I'd comment. I know right! I semi-believe it as well. But as you said, no real sources to say so. I really don't want it to merged, just yet. nding·start 01:50, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've done the review for "Woohoo." Please do the fixes, and I can promote it to GA. :) nding·start 03:30, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Are you seriously going to accept this review Candyboy, or shall I start shouting on you again? You know what I mean. No shade, Ending-Start, but you completely missed the mos issues in the article. As usual its an incomplete review and don't make me take it to GAR. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:34, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Beyoncé Wiki-project[edit]

Please see here... Notice about recent GAs -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 06:01, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to drag you in candy... but I do feel your sentiments. No one is to blame but I felt like it was fairer to let the project know as a whole rather than chastise individuals. No hard feelings? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 06:41, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No I know. I think we're all guilty of wanting to put GAs to our names. I'm gonna make some comments at the trey songz album tomorrow. Its 7am in the UK and I've not been to bed yet so I will be signing off shortly. But yeah hopefully we can get some of our projects done soon. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 06:48, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Candy, if you had felt that I was blaming you, then I do apologize. My comments are always kinda caustic as you know. But somehow this problem has become so widespread now, that I am very very concerned to be frank. Hope you don't misconstrue my comments. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:00, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, we all are somehow contributing to global warming eh? The Mimi articles also needs another check I admit. As I pointed out at unique1's page, I dont think the wikicup has anyuthing to do with the GA thing. Its just starting. By the way, you and I are gonna give the others a hell I am sure. :) Well, diva wars has become too frequent in the music articles nowadays. Its more of a case of which diva's articles are getting to GA faster. I do hope this hoopla dies down, because we have the brightest, the most enthusiastic (Jivesh), the most intelligent group of users in the music locality. Just a proper education is needed. As a senior editor, I hope you will guide them whenever necessary too. :) — Legolas (talk2me) 07:24, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you want my two cents about your articles, I would say that they have all teh ingredients, its just that the last garnishing somehow gets screwed up. If this was Hell's Kitchen, thats what the head chef would have said, lol. What I mean is that once you finish developing an article for GA, you don't stop to look back and review the prose, but nominate it. That's what kinda made me angry on you on both the Ciara and CB discographies, and now on Knock You Down. Please don't take it personal, but I do have high expectations from ya. . — Legolas (talk2me) 07:33, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cowboy Casanova[edit]

Hi Candy! I'm on a break, so I won't be up for sometime. In Cowboy Casanova, you wrote about the banjo and guitar riffs. Where did you get them from? Well, see Talk:Cowboy Casanova/GA1. My first GA, fortunately failed. I'd have been disappointed if it had passed. I'll start working on some Carrie singles after January 20.

(talk page stalker) Do ya think you can notify me when articles on my favorite artists are nominated for GA? :P --Cprice1000talk2me 15:24, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'll surely notify you when Carrie articles are nominated =D Candy and I plan to work on Cowboy Casanova and Temporary Home. Maybe we can work on Undo It and Mama's Song later. I really want Play On to be a Good topic ;) Novice7 | Talk 16:11, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: What's My Name? (Rihanna song)[edit]

Have you even read the composition section and visited the cited articles?

Yes, in fact, I have, and I've commented on the discussion page, several times in fact, noting that there are no sources that support the addition of these categories, and that the use of the current claimed sources to do so, is an editorial misinterpretation. Please see [9]. Strangely, I do not see you participating in the discussion, only reverting. That reflects poorly on you. Viriditas (talk) 01:00, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, that's funny. Why yes I am. Trying to at least. Just fixing the bases right now. You know what's confusing, the whole what was the first single thing. I found the first date of He Said She Said to be January 16, 2007. nding·start 05:37, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Damn iTunes. :( I swear I've been searching different iTunes stores for hours to get the dates in different places. What a bitch it is. :L You should help me out with the article. Maybe find some information. Right now I'm just trying to get everything organized properly. nding·start 05:45, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, I know what you mean. I start Tuesday (tomorrow) too. It's almost 2am here, and I plan on staying up until at least 5am doing things I've needed to do. xD nding·start 05:49, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh shit. You should really get to bed then. Long day! xD nding·start 05:57, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hope school wasn't too rough on you today. Just letting you know I started a sandbox on "He Said She Said" instead, so it's easier to organize. see here. nding·start 20:08, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just found a post about the 2 track single or whatever that was released. "On December 26th a two song bundle is going up for sale on iTunes, it will have the songs "Be Good To Me" and "He Said She Said" on it which are the two singles." I don't think we can say that "Be Good to Me" was the first single, if no release can be found before "He Said She Said." Because if this date is useable, that means that should be the "He Said She Said"'s release date as well. nding·start 21:45, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just put it there for now anyway. Just trying to write a good one, and might include that. I don't know. The only sourced date we have for "Be Good to Be" is in March, and "He Said She Said" dates to January. It had a CD single, and digital download release on January 16. But then again, it wasn't released to radio and promoted until the fall of 2007, so I really don't know. I've been searching for hours. nding·start 23:15, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
CD single that EP you were talking about. Also the remix EPs on iTunes have a January 16th date as well. And the two-track single with "Be Good to Me" here with a date of Jan 2007 nding·start 23:28, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
To me, it looks like they were promoting it, and then it didn't do so well (from seeing the charts) so they decided to try out "Be Good to Me" and then re-released He Said She Said in the fall of 2007, with the music video, Europe release, etc. nding·start 23:29, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. I'm gonna find a concrete date around that time of the video's release. But we still need a date for "Be Good to Me" so should be use the March of 2007 date? Since we can't really source the December one? nding·start 23:39, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, alright. And at least now we have more information to explain in the "background and release" section. xD nding·start 23:43, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I did. I just posted that there in hopes of adding some of it to it. xD How does the first paragraph sound now? I think I did a good job trying to explain it. xD nding·start 23:48, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Candy!!![edit]

Hi Candyo ;) While stalking around your GA articles, I noticed something in Headstrong. Some references miss a language parameter and some online sources are italicized. I know you're an amazing editor, and I'm sorry, but just to help you :) Omg, I love most of the artists you like (Tisdale, Swift, Miley, Rihanna, and Selena). I also like Tim McGraw, Usher, Jesse McCartney, and B.o.B. A verryyyy big list =) Novice7 | Talk 16:48, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but your edit summary is not correct, and I've listed a few of many examples in my edit summary. I personally think it's verbose and redundant. To each his own, of course, but please don't say that all FAs and GAs have it, because they don't. Frankly, I'm shocked that a GA would have a comma error in the first sentence. Thank you.
