Hello[edit]

Hi, you seem to be having some difficulties at Loyset Compère. Is there anything you need help with? If you're unsure of how the editing interface works, you can experiment on your userpage at User:Brodie2 or in the sandbox. Or if you reply here, I will try and help. CIreland (talk) 22:45, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Loyset Compère, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Thanks CIreland I just can't get it to work. I try to click on edit and the screen goes wonky and I don't see any text. I've tried quitting or restoring and I still can't see a thing until I hit enter and then sometimes I seem to have deleted a whole lot of stuff a voaboat keeps yelling at me. But everythings normal when I edit here on this page except that the messages from voabot (and no I'm not trying to vandalize) have all sorts of weird text in them like html markup - thinks like Image:Information.svg and <span-style> and the like so I don't know if its wonky too. Maybe I should try to wait to use my real PC. I hate internet explorer and maybe firefox will work better?

Well, firstly, all the strange text you see on this page is supposed to be there. It's called "wiki-markup" and is used for displaying images correctly and formatting text etc. You normally just have to work around it. As for getting a blank page when you try to edit an article, I'm unsure what the problem is - many people use Internet Explorer to edit Wikipedia, so I can't think that that is the problem. If you are using really old computer, it may be that the text is taking a while to load up? CIreland (talk) 22:57, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I think I just screwed up there again - any way you could fix it for me. I think it's called revert me? Then I,ll just stop for now and try again from my own computer where I know what's going on. Thanks for caring, Brodie

Fixed. If you need any help when you're back to your own computer, just drop a note on my talk page by clicking here. CIreland (talk) 23:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
