Welcome to Wikipedia, the greatest encyclopedia on Earth!

You seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics. You may wish to review the welcome page, tutorial, and stylebook, as well as the avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia is not pages. The Wikipedia directory is also quite useful. In addition, you might want to add yourself to the new user log; if you made any edits before getting an account, you may wish to assign those to your username.

By the way, an important tip: To sign comments on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This automatically adds your name and the time after your comments.

Hope to see you around the Wiki! And if you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to contact me on my talk page! - Elf

boggle photos[edit]

WP requires that photos be identified with their source AND with licensing info (that pull-down menu that appears in the upload page), otherwise they can't be used. Can you please provide that info for both Image:Boggle dog.jpg and Image:Anotherboggle.jpg? Thanks. Ask if you have questions. Elf | Talk 17:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The images still don't show that you took them or under what license you release them. Could you go to those pages (links above) and edit them to state clearly that you took them and also use {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}} to release under GFDL or into the public domain? Thanks. Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Anotherboggle.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 12:05, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Another one of your uploads, File:Boggle dog.jpg, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 13:55, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:34, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
