Hi there. I regret to inform you that I tagged File:Teach the Controversy - Russell's Teapot Messenger Bag, by ErynCerise.jpg for speedy deletion under criterion F3. While you selected the Creative Commons license BY-SA-2.0 for this file, the Flickr page for this image actually says BY-NC-SA-2.0. Unfortunately, files which are for non-commercial use only cannot be accepted by Wikipedia as free files but rather have to be treated as non-free content. Your proposal for a discussion at WP:AE

You recent edit is quite mystifying. Please explain what is actually on your mind. I sounds like you are trying to avoid saying what the real issue is. Is it something about the Gaza War article? Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:57, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for poking on me, EdJohnston. I am concerned with proper WP:DR procedure and questions of neutrality. Let me know how I can demystify the issue? AgadaUrbanit (talk) 19:03, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
It sounds like you have something specific in mind, but will not say what it is. General questions are hard to answer, and may not be worth any further space at AE. EdJohnston (talk) 19:08, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Right, thank you for being kind to me, Ed. Your comment was helpful. Please see my question on AGK talk page. Your thoughts are welcome. AgadaUrbanit (talk) 16:31, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

<- By the way Agada, for the record, I didn't really understand your reference to "carrots vs bananas" as it's not a phrase I've heard before although I do remember Avraham Burg once responding to a question about "carrot or stick" based funding that it should be carrot and carrot. So, I looked carrots vs bananas up in Google. Obviously I was distracted within seconds by shiny things and forgot what I was meant to be doing but I found this video which coincidentally is all about carrots and bananas in your part of the world in 1945. I know something about banana trees, I have many, and they're using far too much water in that film. Shocking behavior. Sean.hoyland - talk 13:03, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

It's real shame that user talk pages, especially Jimbo's, are not indexed by search engines. --ElComandanteChe (talk) 14:14, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Is that where it's from ? I saw a reference to truth rabbits and source monkeys there recently. Sean.hoyland - talk 14:22, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
That's my highly speculative reading of EnigmaUrbanit. --ElComandanteChe (talk) 14:25, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Found it. I read that post just a few days ago and my brain has apparently already deleted the "carrots vs bananas" reference and transformed "Transcription" into "source" for no reason. Marvelous. Sean.hoyland - talk 14:32, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Judith Scott

I was too indecisive to pick a piece for the infobox. I like them all. That one works well. Sean.hoyland - talk 21:49, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

I would prefer this one, but it is inappropriately licensed. Judith's story reminds me a bit of Eliza's character in Slapstick. AgadaUrbanit (talk) 22:15, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that photo's a classic but someone's property unfortunately. Slapstick, interesting connection. Hadn't thought of that but I agree. Sean.hoyland - talk 22:25, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

AE report

I'd recommend you retract that AE report as soon as possible. The way I see it, it's not an appeal against your topic ban, it's simply a breach of your topic ban, and somebody could easily decide you should be blocked for it. (I'm not going to do that right now, but somebody else might.) Fut.Perf. 11:23, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

I concur. You cant bring report about other actions when you topic banned.--Shrike (talk) 11:31, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
To be frank I am also worried, that is why I have consulted (User_talk:EdJohnston#Consultation) with sanctioning admin: "You would not be blocked just for wanting your own sanction reviewed.". The edit was brought to discussion during original sanction process but was overlooked at the time. I am requesting the review of sanctions process, do I misunderstand Ed's comment? If I am wrong I would retract the appeal. AgadaUrbanit (talk) 11:36, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Ed is right in saying that you wouldn't be blocked for "wanting your own sanction reviewed". But that's not what you were asking us to do at AE. You were not explaining to us why your own topic ban should be lifted; instead it looked like you were telling us to do something against some other editor. Your topic ban would have barred you from discussing that other person's edit on the relevant talk page. You can't just use the appeals process in order to sidestep that. Fut.Perf. 11:40, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Talk about yourself not other user edits. What they did back then no longer relevant.--Shrike (talk) 12:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

I'm kind of banned from I/P pages and discussions. Thank you for invitation, though. Anyway have fun! AgadaUrbanit (talk) 16:02, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
