Removing of talk page messages[edit]

"Users may freely remove comments from their own talk pages". If Shellwood doesn't want to talk to you, he doesn't want to talk to you. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 01:29, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Although no specific explanation of the disruptive editing and badgering that I am accused of has been listed, I can only assume that the block relates to my posts on Shellwood's talk page. Shellwood left a warning on my talk page (now removed) accusing me of vandalism, and threatening me with a block. I politely responded with a post on his page, asking him to assume good faith. This was removed, asking me to 'kindly stay off this page,' which was bizarre considering his invitation on his user page for constructive criticism. In a series of edits thereafter, I politely asked him to explain his position by engaging with me constructively, with each attempt to promote a constructive dialogue being met with a reversion. I am grateful to Suffusion of Yellow, who wrote to me (above) explaining that Shellwood has the right to curate his talk page as he wishes and refuse to respond. As a new user, I was totally unaware of this, and had continued to attempt to make polite contact with Shellwood to better understand his position having left a rather abrupt comment on my talk page. Since this explanation from Suffusion of Yellow, I have not attempted to edit Shellwood's page at all. I now understand the community policy on this matter, and will not attempt to contact Shellwood about this in future, out of respect for his desire not to engage in any further constructive discussion with me. As I now understand the policy, and will seek to abide by it, I believe that a block is unnecessary. 80.192.245.98 (talk) 02:46, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Drmies what do you think? 331dot (talk) 09:47, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
331dot, I think that if someone posts the same message a dozen times theyr'e being disruptive. I don't mind unblocking. Drmies (talk) 16:50, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
