COI NOTICE:[edit]

I am the vice president of University Communications for the University of Southern California. I believe in the sanctity of Wikipedia's COI policy, and want to work cooperatively with the community to build out profiles so that they better reflect the breadth of our university. I recognize the need to include opposing viewpoints to retain balance and avoid promotional bias. X-Gunman (talk) 00:18, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

EXPERIENCE[edit]

I have been with the University of Southern California since December 2014. Prior to that, I spent 20 years working in the technology industry with companies as varied as Boingo Wireless, Brocade, Business.com, Candle Corp., Compaq Computer, Emulex, ITRON, Jamdat, Microsoft, Motorola, and Xircom. I have a degree from the University of Southern California School of Journalism and recognize the value of independent, unbiased coverage of public entities. I was taught how to write by an LA Times reporter who went on to win the Pulitzer Prize with the NY Times. I was trained to edit by a veteran desk editor of the LA Times. And I was invited back to USC as an adjunct professor for their graduate strategic PR program. X-Gunman (talk) 00:18, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
