The world

Another article I want to share with you is the world. The world has been a bad place to live in these tough times. The world is full of war. For example, the War in Donbass is the war between Ukraine and Russia. the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic are also on Russia's side.

It is also the largest conventional military attack since World War II. Before Russia invaded Ukraine, Russian Armed Forces began massing thousands of personnel and military equipment near Russia's border with Ukraine and in Crimea. More than 7.1 million Ukrainians fleeing the country with an estimation of 8 million IDP's (internally displaced persons) which is, In total, 15 million Ukrainians have fled their homes. It is the largest refugee crisis in Europe since World War II. According to UNICEF, more than half of all children in Ukraine had been forced to leave their homes. Recently, the Ukrainians have been driving the Russians out of Ukrainian territory. Unfortunately, they lost their key city of Mariupol.

Very recently, Sweden and Finland both applied for membership into NATO.

Update: On April 4, 2023, Finland officially joined NATO as their 31st member/ally.

The Great Depression was very depressing. That's why it was called 'the Great Depression.' Before this even happened, Adolf Hitler became leader of Germany on July 29, 1921. Then Germany became a totalitarian state from 1933 to 1945.
