Originally from Warwick, Rhode Island, USA, I graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School and then went on to Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.

After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, I joined the U.S. Navy. I completed recruit training in Great Lakes, IL and then went on to Electrician's Mate (Nuclear) "A" School and Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL.

While at Nuclear Power School, I was selected to attend Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. Following OCS, I went to Navy Flight School at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, in Milton, FL and recieved my Naval Aviator wings in May of 2000.

Following my winging I reported to Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron (Light) Four Zero (HSL-40) for training in the SH-60B Seahawk helicopter. I reported to HSL-44 for my fleet sea tour and deployed with the USS John F. Kennedy Battlegroup in 2002.

I was transferred to Naval Air Station Whiting Field, FL after completing my sea duty, and conducted 2 tours as a Helicopter Flight Instructor with Helicopter Training Squadrons 18 and 28.

I am a commercially rated fixed wing and rotary wing pilot with over 3,500 hours of total pilot time.
