@House1090: This issue comes up from time to time. Wikipedia is not an official information source, it is an encyclopedia. Therefore, it is correct to include alternate alignments, proposed projects, cancelled branches, etc. in a route diagram that accompanies an article as long as they are mentioned in the text.
