Update regarding her intention to resign as Meretz party leader[edit]
It is stated in the "Political career" section that on 17 November 2022, Zehava Gal-On announced that she intended to resign as the leader of Meretz. This really could do with updating. What happened? Did she resign? If not why not? Was there a leadership election etc. Helper201 (talk) 11:28, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
She gave up her seat in the Knesset in October 2017, and resigned from politics in February 2018. In 2022 she was asked to come back, led the party during the 25th Knesset general election campaign, but failed to get in even after she was willing to take 2nd seat for Avoda (Labor) party, a move that would have let both in. Her correct English name spelling is Galon, not Gal-on. I intend to create a new article named Zehava Galon, with a reference from Zehava Gal-on. Unless there is a more correct way of doing this. Avneref (talk) 09:23, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
