It may be a Digambar Jains statue[edit]

Naked monks belongs to Digambar Jains only. Gautam Buddha had never taught to became naked so if the idol is naked how can it be possible to say that the idol is of Gautam Buddha? Truth must come out Mohammed25041983 (talk) 14:34, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mohammed25041983: Wikipedia relies on what is published in reliable sources, and currently two sources (first, second) describe the caves as being Buddhist or containing Buddhist art, with one outright describing the figures at Vijasan as being "colossal Buddha in padmasana on a bench". If you can find a reliable sources stating the figure is related to Jainism, that can also be added to the article, but the current information should not be changed. @Mohammed25041983: I've partially reverted your edits again. If you can provide sources (WP:VER) for the establisher of the cave and the Jain origins of the caves, please add them, but your continued removal of mentions of the caves being Buddhist contradicts the cited sources and is approaching WP:DISRUPTIVE territory, as is your addition of un-cited material.
