Battle of Tippermuir[edit]

Wroughton, J. (13 Jan 2006). The Routledge Companion to the Stuart Age, 1603- 1714. Routledge. p. 45. states briefly that Elgin's Covenanter army was defeated by Montrose on 1st September 1644 at Tippermuir. I think Elgin is probably mistaken for Elcho so have omitted this from the article, but if somebody has better evidence it would be good to include it. --KenBailey (talk) 07:40, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
