Character names[edit]

This is all very confusing. The main character is referred to as General Dolgorucki in the New York Times review, IMDb, TCM and AllRovi, yet a document in the film itself shows that his name is Sergius Alexander, which is also listed in IMDb, TCM and AllRovi. Other characters also have differing names, depending on the source:

Natalie Dabrova in the Criterion DVD and IMDb, vs. Natascha Dobrowa in TCM and AllRovi
Leo vs Lev
the Assistant (Criterion) vs. Assistant Director
the Bodyguard (Criterion) vs. Serge, the valet

I've seen the Criterion version, and that's what I've used for the names, but maybe the intertitles have been changed from the initial release. Clarityfiend (talk) 09:55, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
