Mormon myths and miracles[edit]

I'm LDS so I'm not sure how neutral I am here, but the "It is said that Matthew Cowley..." thing seems a bit wierd. Why is it a myth and what is notable about his being assigned to translate LDS scriptures? Dakane2 (talk) 22:40, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

“Indoctrinate”[edit]

I’m also LDS, but I do think it is very obviously biased that the word “indoctrinate” is used. I did change this, but it seems to have been reverted. I do not want to be involved in an edit war, so I did not change it again. If anyone thinks that the word is not biased, please let me know why. One can be indoctrinated but not converted. Someone in the group might change a belief but not get baptized and indoctrinate covers all that are influenced by teachings. Influence might be a more suitable word to describe the situation, but I'm good with whatever the remaining consensus comes up with - as long as it's correctly defines the situation.-- Dmm1169 (talk) 07:55, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
