His mother is ITALIAN!![edit]

I've read it in the Italian Wikipedia. This should be noted, here the information is incorrect!!! Not Egyptian family but Egyptian father — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.59.100.23 (talk) 20:00, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Numer of goals scored[edit]

As 30 September of 2012, Stephan El Shaarawy has scored 4 goals in the 2012-2013 Serie A season. But in 2011-2012 Serie A season he scored 2 goals (both against Udinese in different matches), so how it can it be possible to be that the total of goals indicated in the description be 5 goals? Please fix that little mistake. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.163.153.23 (talk) 15:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This page should be updated since El Shaarawy has been bought by A.C. Milan. This transfer can represent a breakthrough in his career. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memetz (talkcontribs) 07:53, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from 65.9.174.11, 22 June 2011[edit]

Greetings,

Just wanted to give a heads up that El Shaarawy is no longer a Genoa player. He will be officially putting pen to paper this Saturday with A.C. Milan, right after medical exams.

Thank you.

"He will" implies that "he did not do it yet". As long as the move is not formalized and finalized, he is still a Genoa player. Wikipedia is based on accurate facts, no events that are likely to happen but haven't yet. --Angelo (talk) 18:29, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ciao, il tipo qui ha appena esordito nelle nazionale maggiore. Lo avrei scritto io se non ci fosse 'sto blocco IMHO rimovibile. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxmurd (talkcontribs) 23:46, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested edits[edit]

Well, since this article is "semi-protected" I can only suggest some editings to make here and there. As for the "Early Life" section, El Shaarawy's family is not totally Egyptian as reported here, only his father is while his mother is Italian (you can find this piece of information in a lot of websites, even the Italian wikipedia has it). Plus, I found an interesting interview (see http://www.goal.com/it/news/2/serie-a/2012/12/01/3569298/le-confessioni-di-el-shaarawy-devo-molto-ad-allegri-mi-ha-sempre-) where El Shaarawy himself explains the origin of his nickname, Il Faraone (The Pharaoh). When asked about it, he goes like this:

"Non me lo sono dato io. Mi definì così in diretta il telecronista Sky di Genoa-Empoli, alle finali del campionato Primavera di due anni fa. Avevo fatto goal e mi ero inginocchiato mimando il tipico gesto degli egiziani, con le dita delle mani chiuse a ventaglio. Da allora sono diventato il Faraone. Mi sta bene, anche perché sono egiziano da parte di padre."

..which means:

"I didn't give myself that nickname. A Sky commentator dubbed me so during a Genoa-Empoli match, while playing the Campionato Primavera finals two years ago. I'd just scored so I got on my knees and mimicked the Egyptians' typical gesture, with the fingers fan-shapedly closed. I've become "il Faraone" ever since. It's okay with me, also because I am Egyptian on my father's side." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.44.211.99 (talk) 23:42, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stephan El Shaarawy is known to terrorise Borussia Dortmund's defence when John Ruddy is in charge. The 5 throphies out of 7 seasons shows the ability that he has. DannyLafferty (talk) 20:01, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

He scored one for 2014/15 can someone fix?[edit]
