Transfer window[edit]

@Vaselineeeeeeee:, @CHING WAI KONG: According to press release, the deal was a loan + obligation to buy, which the obligation was achieved on 6 February (after the window closed), but please stop original research (and interpretation ) of the real effective date of the transfer was 1 July. It happened on 6 February and it was the same treatment in Ervin Zukanović (the obligation was excised in February). We put Simone Zaza's effective date on 1 July, because the press release say so. So are you saying we should still list it as a loan or not? Both Football Italia and this release by Juve clearly state the loan is until 30 June, so to me that means we should also classify this as a loan until 1 July. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:37, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Loan period, January to 6 February. It is too original research to determinate the end date of such "Loan + obligation " is not the date of the announcement. Matthew hk (talk) 13:38, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
But we know the loan period will definitively end 30 June. So keep → loan for now. It looks the same in the infobox for Zaza with Valencia, and then Torino after this season's loan period. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:42, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Zaza's press release in specific mentioned the definitive deal (To Valencia) would be effective after the loan deal. While for Zukanović and Sturaro and many other similar players, the press release wording was bought already on that date, instead of will/would bought. Matthew hk (talk) 13:46, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know - it might be original research to interpret the wording based on those key words. It does say he was terminated, but then it does say his loan will continue until 30 June. Why would they say the loan will end 30 June if he was already bought outright by Genoa? It would be like Genoa are loaning him to themselves. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:53, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Football Italia (or Goal.com English) is a bad tertiary source, it often translate the original news article in La Gazzetta wrong, they are the only English source BTW. If putting the WP:DUE and WP:UNDUE criteria, i doubt reporting in Italian language, would retain the loan still go on wording for the 6 February outright signing by Grnoa. e.g. tuttosport, La Gazzetta. Matthew hk (talk) 14:00, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I mean it says pretty much the same thing in the English Juve source you provided. They probably looked at that. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:02, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see that ref is from 24 January before they bought him. Hmm. Does Juve have any source from 6 Feb? Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:05, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I had two press releases in the very first statement. Matthew hk (talk) 14:06, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh shit my bad. I'm seeing the 6 Feb source now. You're right. I'll fix it. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:07, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
