The name[edit]

The Mamluks used the name Turkey. But the claim It was the first state with the name of Turkey or Türkiye in the history is not exact. Although Türkiye as a name of the country was not used by the Turks, Turk budun had already been used by the Turkic Khaganate (6th-8th centuries). Identifying reliable sources[edit]

An essay in the newspaper Türkiye Gazetesi is not reliable source for articles related with historical topic.

A news on the website of the Türk Ocakları about a speech of Zeki Palalı, who is the chief physician of Hayat Hospital, is not reliable source for artilces related with histrical topic.
