A translation?[edit]

This was true up to this revision; the Spanish article was characterized by having numerous translations of inscriptions, most simply mentioning Orfitus' name to indicate the year the inscription was made. Since then I have added information about his ancestry, use of another inscription that presents a more complete cursus honorum, citation of a passage from Tacitus about him, & secondary sources discussing that passage. (Citation of a reliable source for the date of his proconsulate of Africa needs to be added, perhaps Ursula Vogel-Weidemann, Statthalter von Africa und Asia (Bonn, 1982).)
