Lane at the Jardin du Luxembourg[edit]

I keep debating about whether Lane at the Jardin du Luxembourg should be included in this article, so I'm guessing others will too. Con: the proper main area of Garden of Luxembourg does not go the the river Seine. Pro: there is a small park, sometimes attributed to the Garden of Luxembourg that is on the Seine and the area looks to depict the watered area in the background of the painting. I like it because it shows how in just a few weeks time van Gogh is much more effectively using color and light - in comparison to the painting in the article Pont du Caroussel de Louvre where it is hard to make out the river Seine (no reflection or light).

Any thoughts about use of the Luxembourg garden painting in this article 1) at all or 2) used more as a point of comparison? Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 22:03, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
