Contested deletion[edit]
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it's a large, important website with thousands of unique editors. Also the topic of the Wikimania 2013 keynote speech, so obviously notable. --Slashme (talk) 01:49, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

There are a few book and news sources - see above for links - but the best ones seem to be in Japanese which is a problem for English editors. Andrew Davidson (talk) 03:08, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

I think this topic deserves an article but not sure if it's the right way to handle it. What about a large rewriting beyond a wiki and net activity? As far as I understand (and I'm a Japan-based Japanese), SaveMLAK is a non-profit movement to response the disaster focusing on support and facilitation of GLAM sector (here called MLA+K though) and the wiki is just a part of their activity, just meta is a service wiki for Wikimedia movement. Their wiki itself may deserve an attention, even an article, I won't challenge this idea. But activities of this movement like helping to preserve disaster related media, re-open a certain local library ... it seems beyond a wiki and deserves a much wider attention imho. Not alike Wikimedia movement, in their case, the movement and activities arose first, and they set up several means including their own wiki to enhance their activities. Focusing on a wiki and only is a bit strange approach to describe their activities I'm afraid, even if it could be a good decent start. --Aphaia (talk) 10:46, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
