Sam Rogers - Academy[edit]

Hey @Mikemor92:
Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that Rogers would still be a part of the academy. If he wasn't I don't think he could sign to play college at Villanova because he would've been paid as a professional when he appeared for S2. Is that incorrect?
I'm bringing this up because his 'Youth Career' says 2013–2017 when he has officially left yet. So while he most likely will be done in the academy this year he could still change his mind and not actually go to Villanova.

It's somewhat correct. I did take down 2017. He's on an academy level contract and this is likely his last year, unless he decides to stay with the Sounders academy for another year. We've seen a number of players make professional appearances while maintaining their college eligibility. I don't know. He's not necessarily a professional despite making an appearance for S2. – Michael (talk) 21:31, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
