Is a date for the crash ever provided?[edit]

We have the time and day of the week, but not even a decade to go off of. Unipugeagle (talk) 01:06, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think the vague time period may be intentional. Most info related to the town would arguably place it somewhere around the 80s (for Mischa's mom to have died from radiation poisoning from Chernobyl, it would have to be after 1986, but the real Uranium City had an economic collapse around 1982 and I doubt that by "small town" they meant "less than 100 residents"), but most of the pop culture references are much more recent. Some versions of the show have referenced things that didn't even exist in 2008 when the musical first premiered. We also see Jane Doe/Penny Lamb's entire life in the span of one song. So I'd say the time period is pretty nebulous. Axolotlanarchy (talk) 17:33, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Unipugeagle we actually have a few!
2009 2015 and based on calendar dates 2020, depending on what production you're seeing determines the year (like in McCarter and in the Canadian productions it stated either in programs or in the song tragic fact that it takes place in 2009) however if the show mentions same Love by Macklemore you have to either go to 2015 or 2020 (and decide from those is harder because the universe could be without covid existing) Lucid tears (talk) 20:07, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The most common date I've seen is September 14, 2009 PDTrx (talk) 06:44, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What does "Monkey Love Drop" mean?[edit]

I've looked everywhere and can't figure it out. 2603:7080:373E:E757:C0D3:6E8E:3948:AC91 (talk) 22:21, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i'm pretty sure its a joke about Ricky's weird cat thing. the monkey part is probably a reference to humans being a part of the family of great apes. Cat-with-the-'tism (talk) 17:04, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Curent and Future Productions[edit]

the show at Chance Theater in Anaheim (2023) is listed at the top of the article, but not in the sidebar or list of productions & cast. can someone fix this? Cat-with-the-'tism (talk) 17:24, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ride The Cyclone streaming[edit]

Can someone add somewhere that it was the 2nd most streamed musical of 2023? I would do it but I’m not sure where to put it. Ezras Creations (talk) 05:56, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seattle production[edit]

Having seen it in person, I’m 90% sure that the Seattle production was at the American Contemporary Theater, not Fifth Ave. Would be great to have someone confirm :) 75.172.74.7 (talk) 04:56, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
