Turkey is the English name[edit]

The recent decision of the Turkish government to use the Turkish form of the country's name in English does not, in fact, change the standard default English spelling of the word, which remains what it had been for centuries on (for example) the websites of the British Foreign Ministry, the US State Department, the Encyclopedia Britannica, and Wikipedia, where the name of the article on the country is Turkey and the name of this article itself is "Prime Minister of Turkey."
Please do not make such a major change in English vocabulary without achieving consensus first. UrielAcosta
