I have changed his introductory description to "Irish", later clarifying he was competing for the United Kingdom. The southern counties of Ireland were throughout his lifetime a part of the UK, only separating in 1921. Cloptonson (talk) 20:00, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Death Age[edit]

I question 1886 as the birth year. A citation would be welcome. According to his casualty record by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, he was aged 29 years at his death in 1917, which more likely suggests a birth year of 1887/1888.Cloptonson (talk) 20:00, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
