Start class[edit]

As noted, this article is in "start" class and the information hasn't been coming to me as easily as the information about two articles I'm working on right now Portraits by Vincent van Gogh and Peasant Character Studies (Van Gogh series).

Where I look to expand in the future is:

  • finding information specific to "Outskirts of Paris" - where is it, Montmartre, Asneires, other suburbs or a combination
  • reflect why Van Gogh liked to go outside of the city for these paintings
  • discuss if there's any special meaning in these particular paintings (in addition to comments for F264) about what they meant to him (what he wished remained vs. enroachment of industrialization (Haussmann, etc.)
  • and then techniques used, etc.

If someone wants to pick it up in the meantime, you may find some references in the Montmartre (Van Gogh series), Asnières (Van Gogh series) and Seine (Van Gogh series) as a starting place.--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:19, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
