Question about Reporting Mark[edit]

Copied from User talk:Jameslwoodward#New Hope and Ivyland Railroad:

Re this page, NHRR seems to be the marking for the New Haven Railroad, not the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad. Please search the web using both NHRR and NHIR. I believe both this page and List of Pennsylvania railroads need to be changed. What do you think? Bento00 (talk) 20:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response:

The New Haven is long gone. Although I'm not jumping up and down positive, I believe that the web site that I referenced in the article is definitive -- it certainly has that feel. I also found another site, run by an enthusiast, that says the same thing. Finally, the NRHS has a site that shows the dates -- it was NHIR, but is now NHRR. The New Haven was NH from 1938 to 1966. . . . . Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talkcontribs) 21:18, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response:

There isn't any conflict with the New Haven, no. The new hope & ivyland registered the reporting mark soon after the new haven's demise, and as far as I know the new haven mainly used the "NH" reporting mark anyways. But there appears to be another problem. NHRR seems to be an older reporting mark found on the likes of the baggage car abandoned in wycombe, whereas NHIR is the current mark as seen on their ballast car. Should I go grab a source and change this? Trainmastercrc (talk) 01:05, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ivyland?[edit]

So which is it....New Hope or New Hope and Ivyland? Has the name been officially changed? Elsquared (talk) 01:26, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rolling stock tables[edit]

In light of what happened the last time I did this without first having a discussion on the talk page, I will attempt to reach a consensus on the talk page here first. The bottom line is: the giant tables of rolling stock have ZERO citations to anything, and constitute original research in their current form, and arguably undue weight as well. Are there citations available for this information? If none exist, it will need to be removed per Wikipedia's policies. And regardless, the giant notes sections should be trimmed down, and the entries which are identical except for different road numbers should be consolidated.
