If the Naturalization Law of 1802 repealed the Naturalization Law of 1795, then what laws governed the naturalization process at that time? IOW, what hoops did a person who arrived in 1810 jump through to become a naturalized citizen?2602:306:3AC2:E2C0:80E:5561:7886:38F6 (talk) 21:37, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • It repealed and replaced the law with something similar. — Andy Anderson 04:06, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to Change the Article Title from “Law” to “Act”[edit]

There are several other articles in this series, Naturalization Act of 1790, Naturalization Act of 1795, and Naturalization Act of 1798. This one is called, instead, a“Law” rather than an “Act”, even though in statutory rendition it is referred to as an act. I would like to change it to that title so that I can then fill in some of the missing links in the other pages.
