BCGNIS weirdness[edit]

I just looked for this in BCGNIS, after looking for Lyell Island which I didn't find either; the only Moresby BCGNIS links are to the one in the Gulf Islands. What's with BCGNIS? Doesn't seem to cover the Charlottes as throughly as eleewhere....esp if Moresby and Lyell Islands are missing (Lyell's the third-largest in the archipelago, I htink) it just seems rather odd that they're not there....Skookum1 (talk) 20:38, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Population Updates & Estimates, as of year 2011 and later[edit]

On finding this article as of April 2015, I don't think the population figures are correct, as well as they're seemingly outdated. I happened upon this page by curiosity; whereas, I looked at the population figures for overall Moresby Island and the city of Sandspit (the island's supposed largest city).

I looked up populations via the Canadian census for British Columbia, but it seems more difficult to find information for Moresby Island and its cities. As far as I can tell, the estimated population of the overall Island is at least 1,000 people.[1] But, that's coming from what appears to be a tourist and trade information source that promotes B.C., not an official record from the government.

Also, consider that at the time I'm making this talking point here on Wikipedia, the population of Sandspit does not jive with that of Moresby's, as said from the two separate articles. So, there's clearly a problem here, one way or another.

I believe these are minor edits, if we can find and verify the information… almost anyone can do it, although it's probably not a priority amongst readers. I'll look into it, myself. Ca.papavero (talk) 20:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
