Mayberry performing with Chvrches in 2016.[edit]

This image is watermarked which seems to go against the general policy of watermarked images (WP:Watermark). Should we remove it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.81.245.41 (talk) 17:16, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It should be removed. The caption also does not match the image, whose caption describes a concert that took place in 2015, not 2016. While it is a great image for the article, WP:Watermark is pretty clear about the use of watermarked images in articles. Matt18224 (talk) 00:33, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Relationship Information[edit]

Davey2010, I'm not sure simply removing the information regarding Mayberry's dating Justin Long is necessarily the best option. While the source is certainly tabloidy, it has been widely speculated that they are (or possibly were) dating. While it may not be appropriate to state their relationship as fact without a strong, reliable source (which The Sun is not), I believe the speculation surrounding their alleged relationship is at least notable enough to warrant inclusion in the article.

Perhaps a more appropriate action would be to change the article so it indicates that they have conducted several philanthropic events together, including hosting a holiday variety show charity fundraiser and traveling to Nicaragua to visit a women's shelter, leading to speculation by tabloids and fans that they are (or were) in a relationship, but that neither has addressed this speculation. In this way, the article can be factually accurate and inclusive without making assumptions based on unreliable tabloids. What do you think? Matt18224 (talk) 02:03, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Matt18224, A quick glance only threw up non-reliable sources but ofcourse if you've found better sources than mine (and obviously certainly The Sun) then I'd have no objections to reincluding this, I just assumed they had a relationship and that was it but if they've done things together that was notable then absolutely please add it back, I've self reverted so it makes life easier :), Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 02:43, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Davey2010, Fantastic, thanks! The Sun is obviously a poor source, but there are several reliable sources that describe their joint philanthropic activities (in a more or less professional capacity) that I can add after rewording the paragraph. I had hoped to avoid even the appearance of edit warring by adding the same information back yet again without some kind of consensus. Hopefully our anonymous friend will choose in future to edit articles constructively and not remove what they clearly believed to be factual information for emotional reasons.
