Dialect names[edit]

The section Languages of Syria#Arabic presently does not cite any sources. I searched, and specifically, could not find any reliable sources that refer to something named "South Syrian Arabic". Google hits for the phrase all seem to be copied from this article, so it is spreading misinformation that such a standardized sub-dialect of Levantine Arabic exists, and is recognized by this name, and is common to the listed cities. Whereas for example according to this discussion (which can't be used as a reliable source), there are significant differences among the regions. Please help to update the article according to reliable lingustic sources and terms for the information given in this section, thanks. Some starting points could be here: [1]. For example, the dialect spoken in Damascus seems usually to be called "Damascus Arabic" or "dialect of Damascus", and never "South Syrian Arabic", a term that appears to have been invented in this article. --IamNotU (talk) 15:49, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
