Crosslink to Japanese Wikipedia[edit]

I'm trying to add a link to the version of this article in Japanese, but it won't let me. First it gave me a JS error, and then it said I'm not logged in on WikiData (even after I logged in there). If someone else could add it, please do. --4368 (talk) 00:57, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done, 4368a. Thanks! Gabriel Yuji (talk) 17:43, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Linking of character names[edit]

@Opencooper: I question the linking of the character names, not because they are common terms - most of them aren't, I'd say - but because the linked articles are about the minerals the characters are named after rather than the characters themselves. The use of "Phosphophyllite" in the character section only refers to the LotL character.--IDVtalk 21:47, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, personally I'm fine with linking terms so readers can find out the origin of names, even if it isn't an article on the character themselves. Other people might differ of course so maybe you'll get more opinions if you link this discussion from WT:A&M. Opencooper (talk) 22:22, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gender[edit]

The German translation explicitly used gender-neutral pronouns (see this Tweet, for example, which I'd translate to

For the German translation of Land of the Lustrous we use the pronoun xier to do justice to the gender neutrality of the jewels in the original. We explain the why and the wherefore on an extra page in the manga!

I think it's worth mentioning the gender-neutrality in the article, even if it's only a couple of sentences. — OwenBlacker (talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 12:55, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(PS: Nothing wrong with singular they — it has a long history ;)

  • @OwenBlacker: I did see that tweet earlier, yeah! I haven't edited this article in particular very much (although I did write almost all of the LotL anime's article) since I'm not caught up on the manga, but I do think it's fair to add one sentence about it together with how the English translation handles it.--Alexandra IDVtalk 15:09, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

89.242.115.226 (talk) 10:25, 9 October 2023 (UTC) All the "they" and "their" is terrible English. As the article is written in English, all the "they" and "their" should be changed to "she".[reply]

New season[edit]

WHEN IS HNK GETTING A NEW SEASON Bigfatrat089 (talk) 09:41, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Bigfatrat089: Nothing's been said yet, and Orange has been busy with shows like Beastars and Trigun Stampede. We'll keep the articles updated when stuff gets announced.--AlexandraIDV 10:00, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
