His Magic Sword[edit]

There's no mention here of his magic sword named Chan-yao Kuai (Devil-slaying Sabre) that enabled him to conceal himself in Heaven and to control evil spirits. This sword is one of his attributes, widely mentioned elsewhere (and listed in the Wikipedia article magic sword) and is interesting in its own right: some sources say it is identical to Chang Tao Ling's sword. Translation from the Chinese version[edit]

"Once you traveled to Chang'an Wine Cellar, you will be divorced by Zhengyang's real person. After the "Ten Tests", Zhongli Quan (鍾離權 Zhong Liquan) "gives the way of the Golden Dan, because of the law," and finally becomes a fairy" These sentences are mangled translations of the original sentences from the Chinese Wikipedia page. The corresponding lines: "一次游長安酒肆,遇正陽真人鍾離權,經過「十試」,鍾離權「授以金丹之道,因得道法」,終於成仙" should be translated as: "Once he went to a Chang'an wine store, met the real Zhongli Quan, passed ten trials, and Quan taught him the way to create the Golden pill; consequently he learned the way and became an immortal.--Mirrordor (talk) 01:38, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Name in Modern Worship[edit]

Hello, the Modern worship section refers to Lüzu instead of Lu Dongbin or Lu Yan (his given name). Am I missing something? I am not familiar enough with the history and language to just change it to one of the other names. Can someone help me understand and make it clearer in the section? 8fools (talk) 04:27, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Most if the data on Lu Yan are apocryphal, consquently he has been given many names, depending on the sources. One of those names is 呂祖, transliterated as Lüzu. 祖=Zu means the founder.@ mirrordor Mirrordor (talk) 05:31, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
