Original painting by Mosavver[edit]

@HistoryofIran: It seems the original painting was made by Mo'en Mosavver (see [1], page 222). However I've been unable so far to locate a uploadable i.e. non-copyright version of this image. This 19th century Delhi painting seems to be a copy of the Safavid original. -LouisAragon (talk) 00:00, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It only took three years, but the little image issue has finally been fixed, heh. --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:56, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable sources[edit]

@Amardions:

[2] Is a newsite, thus not WP:RS - we use academic sources written by historians.

[3] cgie.org have academic articles but also news and other unrelated stuff. Which one is this? Where is it from? It doesn't have an author from what I can see. Nevertheless I added it as a comprimise, which you then reverted. Moreover, this link also says "Isfahani", which you for some reason keep omitting. Why do you keep omitting "Isfahani"?

Also, can you please explain why we need the supposed full name (well, technically not even his full name, since you dont want to add "Isfahani") of both Khalifeh Soltan's actual name and title of Sultan al-Ulama/Soltan al-Olama in the lede, which is already a wall of names? As for the latter, WP:RS simply calls him " Sultan al-Ulama/Soltan al-Olama", not "Soltan al-Olama Amoli";

"Abbas' mother, Mahd-i Ulya, was a Mar'ashi from Mazandaran and was related to Sultan al-'Ulama." - p. 399 Mystics, Monarchs, and Messiahs: Cultural Landscapes of Early Modern Iran

"Khalifah Sultan, see Sultan al-Ulama" - p. 282, The Politics of Trade in Safavid Iran: Silk for Silver, 1600-1730

"ḴALIFA SOLṬĀN (Solṭān-al-ʿOlamāʾ)" [4]

I could easily find more examples.

Can you also explain what these links are supposed to be? How do they qualify as WP:RS? Why are they different from any other random website? [5] [6] [7] [8]

Also please keep this discussion civil, don't attack me again (WP:NPA and WP:ASPERSIONS). I would also advise you to read WP:EDITWARRING, WP:ONUS and WP:CONSENSUS. HistoryofIran (talk) 14:29, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

HistoryofIran, I didn't attack you. This is a misunderstanding out of truth. I am neither the family of this person nor the child of this person, I will refer you to the family. Where did the Marashi family come from? !! From Mazandaran (Amol), his mother also from Mazandaran (Behshahr). I am originally from Hamedan, but I was born in Mazandaran, is I a product of a Hamedan or a Mazandaran?!. By the way, do you not look at he writing? !! In his Manuscripts and book, Khalifa Sultan, himself introduces as Mazandarani, not Isfahani. This person was born only in Isfahan. You go add the Isfahani extension but you can't distort the date and delete Amoli and Mazandarani's suffix. with respect to you. Amardions (talk) 08:38, 4 March 2023 (UTC) Blocked sock. I'm not "distorting" anything, this is the last time I am telling you to stop commenting on me, next time it will be WP:ANI. What you or another person is a "product" of is completely subjective and irrelevant. You answered zero of my questions, I expect them to be answered in your next comment. --HistoryofIran (talk) 08:54, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Insulting and slandering is your business. The basis of your work is destruction, insult and distortion. I answered all your questions. You know nothing about interaction, This is not a battlefield. I don't want to repeat it again. You asked and I answered that Khalifa Sultan is from the Marashian family of Mazandaran and has nothing to do with Isfahan. This is your work to distort history.Amardions (talk) 11:17, 4 March 2023 (UTC) Blocked sock. M.Bitton (talk) 19:02, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
[9], In the same source you are looking for, it did not say Khalifa Isfahani, it was only said that he was born in Isfahan. [10] For example, Amoli Mazandarani is clearly mentioned in this wiki. [11], In this source, which is attributed to the person's place of birth, there is no claim that it is from Isfahani. But it is written Khalifa Sultan Hossein ibn Mohammad Marashi Amoli. [12], In this source, it is mentioned that he is a descendant of [Bozorg Marashi] (Born in Amol and buried in Amol), the head of the Marashi dynasty in Amol. [13], This source is also the person's own book. who introduces himself as Alauddin Hossein ibn Rafiuddin Mohammad Marashi Hosseini Amoli Isfahani. [14], This source is also the background of Isfahan Seminary. Hosseini Amoli Marashi is also mentioned here. Isn't that enough?!!!!! Amardions (talk) 11:36, 4 March 2023 (UTC) Blocked sock. [15], It is also mentioned here that Maryam Begum, the youngest daughter of Shah Sultan Hossein, the ninth king of the Safavid dynasty, married Mirza Mortaza Khalifa Soltani, the grandson of Sultan al-Ulama Amoli, who was the prime minister of Shah Abbas the Great. Well, I tried. I’m reporting you and filing an SPI when I get home. HistoryofIran (talk) 14:33, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. You are not looking for a source, you are looking for a place to insult to me. I brought more than 20 reliable sources, but you are still wrong. Amardions (talk) 15:04, 4 March 2023 (UTC) Blocked sock. M.Bitton (talk) 19:02, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to try to convince the admins that. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:21, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't want to talk to you anymore. You do not know respect and rights. Amardions (talk) 15:24, 4 March 2023 (UTC) Blocked sock. M.Bitton (talk) 19:02, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
