Removal of Arabic and Aramaic Forms of the name[edit]

Why? What is the logic behind this? Jacob Baraddeus is the founder of several churches that use Arabic, Aramaic, Armenian, Geez and Malayalam -- the forms should be restored immediately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.194.63.129 (talk) 14:47, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tone tagging[edit]

I tagged this article, because this frankly isn't an encyclopedia article. It reads as an early 20th century hagiography for a specific audience (which it apparently is based on its incorporation of such a text), and is totally inappropriate for a 21st century, general intrest encyclopedia. In short, this article needs to be rewritten. oknazevad (talk) 08:05, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article is wrong.[edit]

There are errors in wikipedia about the oriental orthodox chruches. Since when are we Monophysits? I see this all around the website. I am new here, how can we adress this issue? WE ARE NOT Monophysits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monophysitism says and I qoute: Monophysitism's theological point of view is also rejected by the Oriental Orthodox Churches This is correct! Why does this article say we where ever monophysits????

Sentences like: he was ordained by the Monophysite bishop of Edessa ----- this remarkable man rescued the Monophysite community or any other time we are being labled as Monophysite are WRONG!

I see many articles that say the oriental orthodox church is Monophysite...... its just incorrect! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rubeniono (talkcontribs) 23:42, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feast day[edit]

Does anyone have any info on when his feast day is? Shouldn't we have a saint infobox for this article. Rwflammang (talk) 19:29, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality is disputed[edit]

Several portions of the article have Syriac Orthodox POV, including claims of persecution but is not reliably sourced. Br Ibrahim john (talk) 12:36, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
