Downward force?[edit]

I found the description very confusing, particularly when it talks about "downward force". Wouldn't the direction of the force depend on the orientation of the screw or tool? 173.172.70.38 (talk) 18:02, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs section on electrical impact drivers[edit]

This article needs much more info about electrical impact drivers. They are now (2021) extremely common throughout the construction industry, particularly in their cordless / battery-operated versions. All major construction equipment brands have cordless impact drivers these days. There may be some opportunity to bring over some of the info from Impact wrench to this page, as that is essentially a larger version of an impact driver. I'm adding this to my own list of articles to improve, but if anyone else does it before me, that would be great, too! - Dyork (talk) 18:06, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
